| Re: The Hills I think it was on bestweekever.tv where I read an interview there of someone who went to school with Gavin Beasley (the guy who had the faux date with LC to make Brody jealous). He said specifically that MTV edited it to look like he was force-feeding her salmon and said that he'd never do that on a date. He said that LC told him that she would like to try a bite of it. He also said that he wasn't the boring dork that their editing made him out to be (hmmmmmm) and that some of the people on the show are actually capable of being nice sometimes, except for Spencer. Interesting read on uninteresting people. Then today there are reports of the screaming match Audrina got into with Justin last night outside of Opera last night. How real was that? |

| Re: The Hills This show's edited to the max. Audrina [[doesn't actually work where they claim she does either. She comes in like Heidi once a month to film those scenes. Also, Audrina and Lauren don't live in the same place as last year. They just film scenes outside the place.]] I think these guys are worse than BB editors. Just maybe. |

| Re: The Hills Why are these folks so willing though? If they claim being strong armed, they're grown adults. They must enjoy this so they perpetuate it.

| Re: The Hills The people who come on for an episode or two? Or the main cast? Either way I agree with your statement. It's pretty clear they know what they're getting into before they're on. It seems like a matter of not being happy with their edit, but going on the show they kind of give that up. |

| Re: The Hills I personally will not watch the show anymore because I find it boring. Every episode is the same thing. At least in scripted shows, they can move the story along. I will, however, continue to read people's comments on this board about the show because they are still interesting for me to read. I always thought it was strange that these young girls could keep their apartment so picture perfect, yet we never see them cleaning. I'm not surprised that they don't actually live in the place they're shown living in on the show. I agree that all of the characters have become less likeable, including lauren. I've been watching reality shows for over 10 years now, so I get that certain parts are staged in most shows. But not to the extent that I'm seeing on the Hills. It's really become quite absurd. I think this show became so popular because the drama was genuinely more entertaining then what was being scripted on TV dramas. Now the producers are treating the show just like a scripted TV show. They do everything but give the characters scripted lines, which is a shame because they really could use help in that department. My overall point is even if a person watches the show to see a bunch of kids making fools of themselves by taking themselves too seriously, on this show, they're not genuinely making fools of themselves, they're just doing what the producers tell them. There's no comedy in that to me. All we really have is bad acting, bad scripting, no plot whatsoever, and a stagnant storyline. We're left with is a reasonably attractive cast in a beautiful setting and lots of money. That's pretty empty for my taste. I need a little bit more to keep me watching. |

The cat is out of the bag!Come on! Cantelope boobs on a twig, frolicking in the surf in her Hello Kitty pink bikini - that video link was a hoot. The new issue of US Magazine has a picture of Heidi under "Babes at the Beach" with her mouth open and captions it as, "Hills star Heidi Montag shot the video for her song, "Higher" in Malibu, CA, Oct. 16 (Spencer directed!)" Spencer directed!?! ![]() They called her a 'star' ![]() | |

| Re: The Hills We could move this thread to the Non Reality Shows section it's so obviously fake. It's a shame because I think it could potentially be a pretty interesting show. I guess I'm not really their target market, but I'd rather see how Lauren is getting on at 'work' and college than see her traipsing in and out of clubs every week. The guide on my PVR bills this program as "following the career of a young woman trying to make it in the fashion industry". The show meets that description less and less every week.
