Re: The Hills

Boy what happened to this thread????
Last nights episode was awesome. It was very interesting to hear Heidi's Dad say that when Heidi gets into a relationship she loses her friends. Her Mom also was questioning Heidi and she didn't like it at all. Her parents saw right through Spencer, too bad Heidi can't. She is going realize too late and she will be broken. Trust me I was married to someone like that for 10 years. Heidi very rarely smiles anymore. She seems like a puppet for Spencer.

LC seems to have moved past the whole "fight". She seems to be out having a good time with everybody. It isn't like she won't hang around people just because they are friends with Speidi. To Spencer it is his lifes mission to hate LC. Next weeks episode says it all. Spencer "breaks up" with Brody. I thought the way Brody handled it was hilarious. He laughed at it because that is what it is. It is laughable. Spencer looks like he is mental and he comes off as such a manipulative tool. I can't wait until next week!!!

Re: The Hills

I loved how Heidi's family is not playing 'dumb' when it comes to Heidi not having her group of friends anymore. They realize that it isn't all because of Lauren but that Heidi has some blame in that. I was expecting her parents to be 'poor Heidi'..but they were not like that. I thought it was really sad when Heidi was saying 'I have friends...Spencer friends and his friends have girlfriends'...what about Jen Bunney?? It's so sad to me that she just doesn't get it.

I thought Spencer was too 'on' for Heidi's parents and I loved how they didn't fall for it. I mean what the heck is up with calling her a 'little angle' when she goes the tha bathroom.

I, also, find it a little telling when Heidi gets so defensive when people talk negatively about her and Spencer. I remember when I was dating a 'spencer' and getting that defensive too it was because I knew they were right....I think deep down she knows that too.

Lauren got so emtional (even though it did take some alcohol) when talking about loosing Heidi's friendship, before that I always remember thinking 'isn't she upset by it all?'. I think Heidi feels the same about their friendship ending, because she seems to get really sad when people bring it up.

Audrina needs to get rid of Justin-Bobby, hopefully their meeting next week is only as friends but we'll see.

I love LO! I would not go kyaking (sp) either!!!

I didn't get that impression, especially considering she was crying about Heidi at Brody's bbq.

I honestly think that Lauren is unhappy when her friends become involved in relationships, caught up with the guy rather than paying attention to Lauren. At least on a subconscious level. The way she was carrying Audrina's helmet (the one Justin had left behind on a couch) hidden behind her back as she walked towards Audrina, like it was some sort of present she couldn't wait to surprise her with....I didn't like that. And then she crowed that Audrina was better off because she doesn't want a boyfriend who wears combat boots to the beach. She seemed more happy that Justin was proven to be a tool, rather than totally concerned about Audrina's feelings.

I thought Spencer came off pretty well with the parents. Apart from his rather scary caricature of Lauren when he was explaining to Heidi's parents why Heidi wasn't friends with Lauren any more. I understand her parent's concern about her focussing too much on Spencer, but I think they brought Lauren up a bit too much. Did she not have other friends besides Lauren?

You wouldn't know it so far this season though wtih the amount of Speidi we've seen.

Looks like we get to see Jen Bunney's new schnozz in the next episode.

Re: The Hills

I checked out last night's episode online. I completely forgot it was on. Can't believe it.

But I thought it was another good one, minus Spencer and Heidi. But can I just say, her parents... how does someone so "Heidi" come from a Mother and Stepfather SO grounded?! They were bang on about a lot of things and Heidi's just oblivious.

It was funny seeing the kayaking scene after seeing all the various pictures of it online with much different captions .

JB, ugh, he's just, UGH!

Re: The Hills

I find it amazing how easily it's forgotten that Spencer didn't waste 1 minute when it came to trashing Lauren. I guess that's acceptable. He tries to date both you and your friend, shows himself to be disingenuous and controlling. The minute you don't do what he wants you're out. But some how it's the blame Lauren show. Hey, it was Heidi who spent an episode crying over him then excusing his behavior, not LC. The latter shouldn't be blamed for her friend's poor choice in mates. Don't ask and then get mad at the answer you get.

ETA: Get Heidi and that bozo off this show. Please!!

Re: The Hills

That's exactly it. Spencer's "great" when you do what he wants you to do. But the second you even try to do what it is you want to do then that's it. Lauren, now coming up Brody, and anyone else. He's just icky.

Re: The Hills

Honestly, Lauren is not the most interesting person. I'm sure if something interesting happened to Lauren the producers of the show would make sure it aired. The thing about Lauren is that she's very pretty, rich and grounded - that's why she has her own show. She always manages to surround herself with people that bring drama into her life. It's been that way since Laguna beach season 1. What would Laguna beach season 1 have been without Kristin to spice things up? What would season 1 of the Hills have been without Jason? And honestly, would anyone be watching season 3 of the Hills if it weren't for all of the drama of season 2 involving Heidi and Spencer? My point is that Lauren has never been the star of her own show. She's never been the force that continually pulls people in to watch. If it weren't for all of these "secondary" character plots like Audrina and Tommy Bobby and Spencer and Heidi, there wouldn't be enough story for the show.
