Re: The Hills OK..I dont watch every single episode of this annoying show..but I have seen a few/ Although I might be stepping on the toes of the LC fans..but why is this girl so concerned with other peoples relationship besides her own??? I could honestly care less who my close girlfriends date...at the end of the day if they are dating scumbags I will be there for them, but its not for me to say who my girlfriends should and should not date- this is coming from her rel. with heidi and her boyfriend and her current roomate and the guy shes supposedly seeing

Re: The Hills This works well in theory but I've had girlfriends who basically dated the same men over and over again (e.g. they were physically different men, but had all the same bad traits) and they would spend ALL their time with me talking about these arses. So I would be at work and they would call me to tell me what a jerk their guy was. Then I'd be heading home and they'd call me on my cell. When I was at home, they'd call me to whine about the same thing over and over again. If I didn't pick up my phone, they'd page me and then email me and then leave voicemails and start all over again. So, I actually do care who my friends date--especially if the guys are scumbags--'cause I know I'll have to hear about it ad nauseum. I actually ended up distancing myself from some of these friends 'cause when they broke up, I would agree with them that their boyfriends were jerks. Then when they got back together a few days later, they hated me for having agreed with them. And this was in my early 30's! Women can be idiots when it comes to men...

Re: The Hills I think Lauren has a problem with her friends dating people, like she will be left out or become the 3rd wheel. Ex: Heidi and Spencer, Audrina and her new guy. What do you guys think?

Re: The Hills first of all Spencer is gross, and Heidi, I feel sorry for her because she's really taken by him. Spencer is running the whole relationship. Lauren is a rude manipulator, she wasn't likable on Laguna Beach and I still don't think she's likable. I tend to suck into these shoes but other the Audrina I don't know if I can watch especially with Spencer on the air. He seems to be making a big show for the cameras. He seems really insincere.

| Re: The Hills Now, I will be the first to admit that I hate Spencer completely and fully. BUT the amount someone spends on an engagement has nothing to do with how serious they are about the person they are proposing to. Now, I do NOT think that he is serious at all about marrying Heidi. He only wants to be around her because he is a famewhore. But, my husband did not spend what people think he did on my ring, but he loves me completely.

Re: The Hills A lot of my friends that got married right out of college have small engagement rings, which were what their fiances could afford at the time. I think it's smart to spend within your means...going into debt for an engagement ring (or lavish wedding) is ridiculous and I have no problem with being conscientious about spending. I think the point that vgood2 was trying to make, though, is that Brillo Head-Horse Teeth is such a fraud--he pretends to be something that he's not--a high roller. And a high roller wouldn't spend $3,000 on an engagement ring for the love of his life, or whatever gag-inducing phrase he used to describe Heidi. For any normal couple, that ring would've been fine (although I didn't like it...). But for a walking mouth like Spencer, no. It's hideous. Also, this is the same guy last year who made it clear that he would NEVER buy Heidi an engagement ring...he probably got a lot of flack from that comment and so had to scrape up a ring from somewhere...
