Your right about that! Choosing love over advancement of career, I see nothing wrong but if its not with a person that would do the exact same thing for you than thats a different story.

I found myself wondering why Lauren didn't just go to Paris...and take Jason with her. If those two are wealthy via the parents and can do anything they like, which sort of seems to be the case, then she could have had the best of both worlds, no? (i'm taking a stretch here in that Jason might not be what you would call "the best", lol).

It just seemed too staged to me that she had this big coincidence and that it had to be one or the other. Like someone else said too, three months is not that long.

I do seem to remember Jason saying to her that she had to make the choice. He told her he would be there for her either way, and that she had always been there for him. So maybe he would not have minded.

I tend to think that what's been said about no job available might be true, or that Lauren just really did not care to go to Paris. I think she wanted the summer off to hang with Jason. God knows why. lol.

I agree - I finally saw the episode today and I think that there was never really any concrete Paris job for LC. I think MTV and Teen Vogue cooked this up for ratings. There may have been a tiny possibility, but really, why send LC and not Whitney? Whitney really cares about her job and Lisa Love knows that. This whole drama was created to get us to watch - and it worked!

I doubt Jason would want to waste his summer in Paris. That's how I think he'd view it. And Lauren would be working, which would leave him no one to hang out with during the day. I don't see him as a Europe type of guy. Maybe Mexico. And that's it.

(NEW YORK) Lauren Conrad may have landed a dream job interning at Teen Vogue, but that success evidently did not translate overseas. Teen Vogue editors and producers for the MTV reality series, The Hills, are said to have approached Louis Vuitton—which recently began advertising with the magazine this year—with the idea of having Conrad end the season having scored an internship at the French fashion house’s headquarters in Paris. According to sources, Louis Vuitton wasn’t so keen on the idea and politely declined. An MTV spokeswoman could not be reached for comment. Guess there is reality in television after all.

Is there something in the water? Us Weekly has learned that former Laguna Beach stars Lauren “LC” Conrad, 20 (now on spinoff The Hills), and Kristin Cavallari, 19, have split from their beaus.

Conrad confirms the split exclusively to Us. “Yes it is true, Jason and I are no longer together, but out of respect for his privacy I am not going to discuss the details of the breakup,” she says.
“Even though I am on a reality based show and I live much of my life in a fish bowl, I think anyone would understand that I need to keep some of my life private.”

Sources tell Us that it was Conrad who broke it off with boyfriend Jason Wahler. “He had been going out to clubs, flirting with girls, staying out late,” says a pal of Conrad’s.

“She wanted to focus on school and her career and was ready to move on. She feels really good about her decision.”

A second source adds she had a JASON tattoo covered up at the Hart & Huntington tattoo parlor at the Palms Casino resort last weekend when she and fellow Hills star Heidi Montag were visiting Sin City.

Meanwhile, a friend of Cavallari’s says that she and Brody Jenner, 23, split because “they fought a lot.” Jenner who works as a music producer with stepdad David Foster tells Us, “It was mutual.”
