I totally agree, I hope we watch her In Season 2 regret her decision not to go to Paris. That will be the biggest mistake in her life. I was so disappointed in her. Go Whitney!

Lauren was on a downward spiral when she wasn't carrying a pad and pen when she met up with Lisa. Then when she didn't get the names of the Vogue fashion editors, and was desperately trying to contact Lisa, she STILL didn't have a pad or even a pen to write down the names. Of course, she screwed the names up and completely forgot one of them.

She's just a total loser in my book, and I was really rooting for her in this show.

I don't know if this has been discussed and I have no idea of the validity...but, someone on Greekchat posted that there was never a firm job available in Paris for her. Basically that they had tried to get her one and it didn't happen. If that's the case, then they didn't show that part, just the fact that she didn't go. Who knows!

You know I really dont think Lauren was dumb at all for choosing to stay in the beach house with Jason over Paris. I know someone(maybe multiple posters, just skimmed the posts) stated its not smart to choose career over love but I have to disagree. In this society, we make it seem like school and career are everything and should always be put first even above relationships and family and when you are dying on your death bed, you arent gonna be thinking about what you do for a living or where you traveled. You will be thinking about the people you love that you are leaving behind. Paris is just a place. Just like L.A. is just a place. I understand how big of a deal Paris is to someone that wants a career in the fashion industry but Lauren is only 19 or 20. Paris will be there. Im sure she will have other opportunities to go to Paris. I dont see her as regretting it at all because im sure there will be other chances. Even if she lost her job (which hasnt happend), she probably has more than enough money to take a trip there as it is. Didnt someone once say on the show or on laguna that she was from one of the richest families in laguna?

Im not saying Jason is the love of her life. She is still quite young. We all have seen alot of imaturity in there relationship but I think he means well and he did tell her he would be there for her no matter what decision she decides to make so I dont see what he did wrong just because he didnt insist on her going. Its HER decision. If she really wanted to go, then she wouldve went regardless of his input. I think she wanted all along to stay with Jason. Im not saying career isnt important. Im just saying I dont think theres anything dumb with choosing a relationship over career because I look at things from a spiritual perspective and I dont think our source of happiness in most cases come from career. I think it comes from God and the people that God blessed you with. Theres alot of people very successful in their career but miserable because they are lonely. Theres alot of people on cloud 9 with great loving relationships and arent doing well with their careers. I dont see the Paris thing like an opportunity of a lifetime that she cant miss when Paris isnt going anywhere. She will go there eventually.

Caramel Beauty, the difference is... I don't think Jason loves her as much as she does him. If he had the opportunity to do something that could advance his career (whatever that is) and let him explore a different part of the world, I don't think he would've thought twice about it. He would've left her so fast...and expected her to be there waiting for him when he came back.

Whenever I meet with my boss, I have some paper, a pen and my agenda book with me, even if I have to carry them in my purse or in my carry-on luggage in case she contacts me while I'm in the airport.
