| Agreed that Lauren is stupid. I'll also add that Jason is selfish. A real man who's secure in his relationship would have been excited for her and insisted that she go. It was a great opportunity for her. I can't believe she'd turn it down for a guy. If it's love, he'd still be there in September. Sure, the house in Malibu was nice, but this girl says she wants to work in fashion. Paris is the pinacle of the fashion industry. It was truly the opportunity of a lifetime. By not going, Lauren told Lisa that the good folks at Vogue that her relationship was more important to her than her career? Should their paths cross again, do you think they'll forget that impression? I don't. She set her career back so far by choosing a man over 3 months in the fasion capital of the world. When she's 30, she'll be asking herself WHY! Even if she's still with Jason, she'll still have that regret. I know the young teenagers probably think it was sweet that she chose love over a job. But let me tell you, in the real world it is just plain dumb! Respect yourself and love yourself enough to make a career for yourself. Then, a man will be a luxury not a necessity. |

| MTV wanted Louis Vuitton Paris to sponser her intership but they said no, so it wouldn't have worked for Lauren anyway. |

| We had power outage last night so I only saw the last few minutes...Was Jason whining about her going to Paris? BTW, how are they paying for this Malibu apartment? Her internship isn't paying enough for the rent and it doesn't look like Jason actually has a job. They're 19 and 20 years old, eat out at expensive sushi restaurants... And Lauren has said in interviews that her parents don't give her any money... Not sure I believe that. |

Whitney looks like she's going to go places. She's beautiful enough to model AND seems to have a good head on her shoulders. If it had been me, I would've been on the flight to Paris sooooooooooooo fast! OK, this is the second time I noticed it but isn't Lauren's luggage kinda cheap/beat up? Even my luggage is better than that! ![]()

| Don't they get paid to do the show as well? I read in Page 6 today that this is one of the highest rated MTV shows and they are scrambling to start filming another season, that is negotiation power right there, I am sure they get paid well to do the show.... |

I was talking to my fiance about this episode and he agreed she made a huge mistake. I would really like to think that if an opportunity came his or my way that one of us would be happy and supportive for the other, especially if it's so temporary. Three months is a long time, but ain't forever!

| I think Whitney went to Paris. When Lisa was turning in her luggage, she told the guy "France", so I think Whitney did get to go.
