They got married in Mexico and never actually obtained a marriage license. Nothing with the courts, no paperwork requested...... they basically went through a ceremony for pictures, etc.

HaHa! Buglover that is a great description of those two. Heidi is so unattractive - even with the nose job and lip injections and fake boobs. If she wants to take a glimpse into her future and what she will look like when she's 45 she should take a good look at Lauri Waring-Peterson from the Real Housewives of Orange County. Heidi could be a clone of Lauri's.

There are so many gorgeous, natural beautiful, TALENTED women in Orange County & Los Angeles CA that work their butts off to become credible actors in Hollywood and this is what Hollywood decides we should idolize: Heidi Montag...Please somebody take these two attention whores off the radar screen before I lose all hope in mankind.

Did Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt take thee viewer for a ride?

A preview clip of next week's finale of MTV's The Hills shows the couple, who say they eloped in Mexico, apparently making it official in a courthouse.

The pair are seen entering the courtroom as a judge smiles down on them, with Pratt's sister, Stephanie Pratt, in attendance. "I, Heidi, take thee, Spencer," Montag says in the clip.

A court spokesman says MTV was recently granted permission to film at the Beverly Hill courthouse, but it was done after hours, and the judge in the scene is not one of the court's judges.

Addressing the controversy while speaking to Ryan Seacrest in a segment that will air Monday on KISS-FM's On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Pratt said of the legal documents, "We checked the confidentiality box, so good luck people [in finding out]."

Civil ceremonies are sometimes performed at the Beverly Hills courthouse, but not in the manner portrayed in the brief preview, spokesman Allan Parachini tells the Associated Press, adding that if a judge does preside, it's typically in chambers during a break.

Also, as of yet, there is no record of any marriage license for the couple in L.A. County, according to Sid Keating of the L.A. Registrar's office, although any couple can request their license to remain private.

"MTV crews captured Heidi and Spencer at the Beverly Hills Courthouse with the Deputy Commissioner who handles all civil unions," MTV rep Emily Yeomans said in a statement Wednesday. "We filmed after hours at the request of the courthouse so our cameras would not inconvenience other couples getting married that day."

One good thing that did come out fo the show this week was that Spencer is now on camera admitting to Heidi the classically abusive behaviour of isolating her from family and friends.
Of course she was too off her face on Tequila shots, which he knows full well is a weakness for her, to notice. As she seems to be a willing participant in all his schemes to keep their mugs in the tabloids she probably doesn't even care about the manipulation anyway.
Heidi never really sems happy. She's be warned about Spencer by practically everyone on the show but continues to go along with his cheesy photo ops.

The whole scenario with Spencer & Heidi not getting married at the courthouse had to be premeditated. I can't imagine those two thinking for one second that they would skip the huge, over-the-top, million dollar wedding complete with media cameras and reporters. That's how they make their living...media attention whores.

And what's with that one extra long stray silver mustache hair on Spencers left upper lip? It's so annoying - I just want to pluck it out with tweezers.

TMZ asked a valid question: How come their are no black characters on The Hills? The only diversity these people know is having a brunette or two on this show.
