| Re: The Hills I wish MTV would figure out how to present this show in the face of the tabloid culture it is so a part of. If you keep up with tabloids at all, you usually know what's going to happen before it happens. It's like MTV tries to build everything up to this big climax, but truthfully, in the Internet age it's really anti-climactic for a large portion of its viewers. I don't even keep up with the gossip rags, but I do read message boards and because of that, I usually know what the deal is thanks to my fellow posters, so it makes things like the Speidi storyline or the "Big Announcement" nothing but a joke. Why not do a reality show based around the semi-celeb she is instead of trying to pretend she's a normal girl trying to make it in LA? Random: She has her own fashion line. How come that has never been a part of the show? You would think for PR and product placement purposes that we would see this part of her life, but we don't. Am I the only confused by this? ![]() |

| Re: The Hills They're trying to show her as an average young woman, not a celeb. Thus no Mark mentions and no clothing line pimping. The announcement was so underwhelming. jeez!

| Re: The Hills Color me absolutely nonplussed re the announcement. I knew it just be about Paris. So she goes to Paris for a week? Big Whoop, as my third grade self would say. I'll enjoy watching it, but a week in Paris doesn't exactly equate "Big Announcement" status worthy of an MTV PR campaign. Quote:

I really liked the clothes she and Audrina wore this season, but I would kind of like to see them in their casual clothes like jeans and t-shirts a little bit more. I don't think I saw Lauren in anything other than a dress this entire season. And no, workout clothes don't count! Who all saw the "Lauren Looks Back" special? | ||

| Re: The Hills It was like she showed up and they were suprised she was there. They talked to her for a nano-second when she walked the red carpet. Jessi and Dan were playing up the whole"will Speidi be here" angle the whole night. Then when Heidi shows up they looked suprised. It took some b*lls on Heidi's part just to do that I am sure. They didn't even bring her out for the aftershow on-line. To me when they did speak with Heidi she seemed pretty humble. It was like watching someone show up to a party they weren't invited to...awkward. I too was underwhelmed with the whole announcement. The finale was probably one of the least entertaining episodes all season. Did Lauren really think Brody was going to wait for her? On the aftershow people were saying that Brody was back with Kristin.(who knows if that is true)Oh well looking forward to the next couple of episodes if for nothing more than seeing these people out of LA and out of their comfort zone.

| Re: The Hills I didn't enjoy the Aftershow either. I'd far rather Jesse and Dan were back on the couch at the MTV studios with Esther, Katie and Dean (my Aftershow dream team). I guess Spencer didn't show up to try and maintain some suspense given that he was last seen on the show walking out of the apartment and Heidi was driving off to go home to Colorado. As Kick Rocks said above, it's really not too difficult to find out the current state of things in their lives.

| Re: The Hills Whitney is kinda confusing me, was it her who said they were on team Lauren? I read in an interview she said that Speidi isnt as bad as ther're made out to be and she knows Spencers really well. This aftershow was a mess, I so wanted Heidi to be there. and I thought the big announcement would have been ..."this is the last taping of the hills ya'll".
