Heidi's snide remarks to Spencer when they were at Ketchup ("maybe they're back in the video making business") is all I needed. If she wasn't the one spreading the rumors she knows Spencer had a part in it.

Heidi gets mad at Spencer for ignoring her wishes regarding the wedding. But she, in turn, ignores his wish to have a smaller/low-key wedding. Heidi gets mad at Spencer for leaving the apartment - "I would never have done that" she says. Well, you are not Spencer, Heidi - people react differently to fights. She gets mad at him for ignoring her feelings but she doesn't seem to be considering his feelings or viewpoint at all. . I can't believe I'm defending that dirtbag.
I'm sure the "accidental" meeting between Spencer's sister and Lauren next week was engineered by the producers. Way to have another fight, Hills people!

That's right on the mark. I don't think it is so much about the "Tape" as it is about the fact that Heidi and Spencer went to the media and spread rumors about her. It is very childish. As for people being sheep, I think Heidi is a good example of that also.
But we all know that this is scripted so what does it really matter? This show used to be entertaining, this season not so much.
I watch it now and just laugh at the bad editing and the bad acting. But even with all that I still watch it. I guess there is no hope for me!

Don't give up, there is HOPE for you!!!! I think you did hit the nail on the head as to why Lauren is still upset.
While I don't think it is actually "scripted", I think most of it is pre-planned and then they try to improvise on the words. I can see them having to re-shoot a club scene or something that has uncontrollable background noise. But the editing HAS to go. The worst was at Brody's beach party, he had just returned from the doctors with his hand in a cast, then the next scene he was without the cast, then back to the cast.

Yeah, I'm sorry but I just got to say this:

I think The Hills is the fakest and most boring piece of sh*t show on television. Everyone on that show is just dying to be on television. It is a pretty depressing show and I needed to take this off of my chest.

That's really all there is left to do with it!! It is what it is - and it is now an unrealistic dramedy ! Kick it down a notch (or several)! Once you keep all that in perspective, it's much less painful to witness!

Spencer served turkey to the homeless for Thanksgiving. I'm sure he called every photographer in the area, but I didn't see anything on him. You're losing your touch, Spender (I mean Spencer).

Not to be outdone by Lauren, Heidi is apparently coming out with her own clothing line called Heidiwood (I bet Spencer thought of that) for Anchor Blue (a Western US clothing store business). Hmm...
