I know why Brody is sticking with LC. She's the star of the show while Heidi....second fiddle wouldn't even describe it. Meaning Lauren will get more airtime compared to Heidi and Co. Brody is all about being on camera and getting attention so it make sense for him to be where the cameras are at. Just become buddies buddies with the star and let them be blinded by your fake smile and you'll be alright. Also, he and frankie have been showing up every where seeing as he's his new manager. What does Brody actually do for a living? don't know.

This appears to mean either (a) our beloved Speidi have no real friends to take part in the ceremony,

I cant recall the last time i saw them hanging out with either neutral friends or with other people in general so i don't think this is far from the truth.

Some of her clothes are pretty cute, although none of them are must haves. All of them look like clothes she would wear. She pretty much gave some designer the opportunity to showcase their talent and took all the credit for it. I doubt she had much to do with her line.

I'm thinking this will be the last season of Lauren's show. Then she'll have a couple of years before her pseudo celebrity wears off (just like kristin did) then she'll have to really start working. Her show won't carry her forever. Once it's gone I'll bet many of the opportunities she's had in the fashion world will dry up. Especially since the general personality of those in the fashion world doesn't appear particularly friendly or benevolent.

I don't think Lauren is too worried about having to earn a paycheck. She is young and still in school.
And if by chance things get kind of bleak, she still has Laguna.

Lauren's 22, almost 23. Many who go to college graduate around that time. Unless they're off to graduate school afterwards, the reality is most have to get a job afterwards. Being young has nothing to do with it. I don't know the way it works in the rest of the country but where I come from when you don't go to college, you get a job, even when you do go to college, once you graduate you get a job. This idea that parents in affluent neighborhoods support their nonworking kids through their 20's is not as common as TV would like to make one think.

Besides, Lauren prides herself on not needing to ask her parents for money. A year back, in an interview, she stated that she hasn't asked her parents for money in 2 years. According to her, she is the one supporting her lifesyle right now. When she no longer has the show, the likelihood is that she won't beable to afford her lifestyle, and I'm not so sure her parents are willing to pay for it. Of course she'll be paid for appearances in the next couple of years so she'll be fine. But that won't last forever is all I'm saying.

I think Brody's "JOB" is to mug for the camera on this show and on his step-sisters' show (Keeping Up With the Kardashians)--and other than that, partying with the 2nd generation of D- List hollyweird spawn and grasping for his imagined entitlement to his 15 minutes. That's it in a nutshell!
