Extreme Makeover: HE The Tom Family

This was such a great episode. I don't know if you all watched it. A woman has adopted 7 kids with a range of different special needs. The oldest child who had a very rare skin disease died last year just days before Christmas. The designers build a 3-story house for the family complete with an elevator for the kids in wheelchairs. What a great episode. The family got a surprise visit in Disneyworld by a country artist (Can't think of his name) and he sang his hit "Don't Laugh at Me". A new designer, Tanya, went backstage at a Backstreet Boys concert to get some stuff for another girl who's a huge fan. She especially likes Howie who signed his hat for her and gave her his sweat rag.

nilesgirl, it was a great episode. Those kids were so well-behaved and so grateful for everything they received. And that woman...what an angel to take in all of those kids.

Oh, the country artist is Mark Wills. The song was also made into a children's book, very touching.

Mark Wills! Thank you. For the life of me, I couldn't remember. Drew a total blank
