NBC BEGINS 'THE SEARCH FOR THE MOST TALENTED KID IN AMERICA' WITH OPEN-CASTING CALLS FOR NEW REALITY SERIES IN NEW YORK CITY, CHICAGO, ATLANTA AND MINNEAPOLIS ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15

BURBANK, Calif. -- February 11, 2003 -- NBC is looking for talent. NBC's newest reality series, "The Search for the Most Talented Kid in America," will begin its nationwide recruitment with an open-casting call for prospective contestants on February 15 in New York City, Chicago, Atlanta and Minneapolis.

“The Search for the Most Talented Kid in America” will feature kids from across America competing head-to-head in an overall talent competition. Each week, candidates will be scored by a panel of celebrity judges who will pick one winner from each age category (3-7, 8-12 and 13-15), resulting in a total of three finalists at the end of each show. These winners will then advance to the final round in Los Angeles to compete for the grand prize of a large cash prize.

Casting directors for the new series are seeking energetic, enthusiastic and talented individuals who are between the ages of 3 and 15 as of April 11, 2003. Any child in the seeking the opportunity to show America their talents in song, dance, or any exceptional and unusual acts, is encouraged to audition.

All potential candidates must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and must be willing and available to travel to Los Angeles at the dates and times designated by the producer. All candidates must also bring a pen, recent photo identification, and a photocopy of their birth certificate to the audition.

NEW YORK CITY
