Eh...Doug's done better, but this one was pretty good.
I didn't like the paint effect on the walls and I hated the toile curtains.
I didn't care for this room.
The dark ceiling makes this room apear too small for the bed in it. I have not problem with the rest of it.
It occurred to me that no matter how bleak things might seem at times, at least I have a head. ----Stargazer
I like toile, but black and white can be a little too stark for that type of fabric imo.
I'm not into paint effects at all so the walls didn't really appeal but I think the overall colour they ended up looking was reasonably pleasing.
I didn't like what he did with the furniture eiher.
I agree that the ceiling was just too dark.
I cna see why he would want to visually cap the ceiling at a uniform height as he was going for a traditional look, but I think the grey he chose was just too over-powering for me.
It wasn't too bad, considering that it was Doug. I don't like the light or the moulding he used to frame the furniture. It's just a little too much.
It annoyed me that he was pover $100 under budget yet still pinched their dining room light fixture.
He could easily have afforded a fixture for them.
He just loves to display a "don't care" attitude.
