813 Casting and Departure Films are looking for another great cast of characters to be featured on the new season of A&E's #1 rated lifestyle show, Flip This House!
I would hope that A&E is smart enough to never work with Departure Films again.

I checked out Chris's myspace and he is 31 yrs old, which totally surprised me as he looks much, much younger. He also saids that he really wants to learn how to flip houses. Well, if that's his real personality on the show and he says it is, he is a total doofus. He acts more like a brainless 13 yr old then a 31 yr old.

With the new editing and scripting I think the show has definitely "Jumped the Shark".

I have already given up on it. But I love your updates, Bearcata.

I figured that guy was an actor. This is starting to get as fake as "The Restaurant." Did anybody catch Armando trying to cover his butt on those other houses he supposedly sold (but really didn't)? Sounds like he reads the various forums.

Yeah, that was very obvious. More so the producers trying to cover their butts, especially with the Sam Lecima scandal going on in the Atlanta area.

Early on when the housing industry was hot, I could see how easy it would be to get real flippers.

But now, with houses staying on the market longer (those at the mid-to-high end), I can almost smell the desparation. I don't think this show is long for the world.

Re: Flip this House - on A&E

For everyone whose blood pressure goes skyhigh when watching Armando: there is some interesting information about him at a place called flip this lawsuit. A friend directed me there regarding his "book" and some bankruptcies. Interesting to read.

Here is the link Flip This Lawsuit » Anyone purchased Armando Montelongo’s Real Estate Package?

One of the most interesting things was that there are 3 posts praising Armondo and the book yet the Webmaster says that they were all from the same IP address in San Antonio, TX and each was posted one after the other, but each claimed to be a different person.

Re: Flip this House - on A&E

Another interesting thing about the Montelongo family is that the older brother and father, who started Montelongo Lumber possibly in the 60's or 70's don't have anything to do with Armando. Years ago, there were commercials with his brother, Rick, showcasing their remodeling company. They had a pretty good reputation, especially because the dad was known as a respectable high school coach. My mom thinks he's Armando, Sr. but doesn't remember for sure. Funny how things change.

Re: Flip this House - on A&E

No new episodes, guess A&E figured everyone is still vacationing due the 4th of July. Just a repeat of the Rancho Montelongo.

Looks like TLC will be having new episodes of Property Ladder and Flip That House either next week or the week following. It will be interesting to see how those shows hold up against Flip This House.
