| 6/16/07 Armondo is back Yes we are back in San Antonio and there are so many inconsistencies in this show that it will take awhile to get through them all. It seemed very much so that the show was scripted this time but the film editor put to get the shots to make an interesting show and it blows hole in the logic of the storyline all over the place. Big news is that Armondo's brother, David and sis-in-law, Melina are gone and not even mentioned in the narrative. In fact, the narrative has been totally redone and features Armondo, Veronica and Randy their contractor and Chris their intern. Absolutely, no mention is made at all about why David and Veronica left. Makes one wonder. The other big thing is at the end of the show the sold sign has been replaced by a sale pending sign. Guess A&E got the message not to fool with the audience. I'll be back later with more pithy comments about this show, there are so many I just need to organize them so they all make sense. I just keep remembering what my hero; Judge Judy always says, "if it doesn't make sense then it is not true", and believe me very little of this episode makes any sense.

| 6/17/07 - highlight of the show Watching Armondo rush over when he hears the roar of the bulldozer, takes over the machine, fails to knock over the designated part of the building, but manages to wack the side of the main building so hard he takes of the siding quite a bit of the wood. He also takes out not one but two support columns and the porch roof comes downs. The end result is the building that was to become the new garage is damaged so badly that the entire building must come down, infuriating Veronica and all Armondo does is get off the bulldozer and stands arms apart as if waiting for the entire world to applaud his performance.

| 6/17/07 - comments First I must say that I totally don't believe the build the house and sell within 3 wks. Buying, closing, getting permits, getting a crew together and ordering materials all take time and even a well oiled machine would have problems. In this episode Veronica and Randy wanted to go green with the entire project. Green is usually slower and more expensive. They added this beautiful cedar porch to the front of the house but it was from a company I am sure had a client list a yard long. There was the issue of Armondo telling Veronica that he would not be able to help her at all on this project because he needed the three wks to write his book. Within three weeks Armondo wrote a book on flipping houses, contacted a publisher, the one who published Chicken Soup for the Soul, met and made a deal with the publisher and in the last episode showed us the printed book. Ha. I read enough and have checked out many authors websites and even if you get contract with a publisher, the editor goes over the book and there are rewrites before the book can be published. This process can take a year or so. If Armondo can do this in three weeks he should be president of this country and resolve the Iraq War and balance the budget within the same 3 week timeline. Then there was the issue of the windows. Veronica was going to leave the old one in, regardless of them being single pane and surprise, surprise Armondao is arguing for replacing them with new energy efficient ones. That she spent one afternoon researching and they were delivered in a few days and installed. Ha, don't buy that one either.

| Re: Flip this House - on A&E On Armando's website he is selling an 'ebook', is this the book he was writing on the episode? I signed up for the "free" 5 page offer (I'm sure I am still over paying). I also found a link on TWOP to article about David's new venture. I guess the brothers really split up if myspace is any indicator, there is no cross posting and neither is in the others top friends list. Myspaces: Amando David Veronica Melina |

| Re: Flip this House - on A&E What really pisses me off that in a lot of newspaper articles the FTH cast is referred to as TV Stars. I never considered Sam Lecima or Armondo Montelongo TV Stars. I don't even consider Richard Davis a TV Star. They are just people on a cable network reality tv show with a limited viewing audience. To elevate these people to TV Stars demeans all the hard work real actors have to go through to reach that status.

| Re: Flip this House - on A&E I just read the 5 free pages (with 1 bonus page), typical infomercial crap. The email I got for the link to the free pages also answered my question about the book. Quote:

| Re: Flip this House - on A&E Ah, the new book is sorta an autobiography with the misleading title of Flip and Get Rich.

| 6/17/07 - comments The house in this episode was built in 1960, 2,400 sf, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths on 1.25 acres of land with a separate mother-in-law suite with its own bathroom. Now a contract flipper, bought the house and tried to sell it to Armondo. A contract flipper goes finds property, hopefully buys it cheap and turns around and trys to sell it to a flipper who does houses for a small profit of 2 to 4,000 dollars. A young supposedly bought the house and contacts Armondo to sell it. She says that she bought it for $225,000 and wants to sell it to Armondo for $235,000. After inspecting the property and finding no insulation on the second floor and other problems Armondo informs the young flipper that she overpaid for the property and that in Texas you have 10 days to find all the problems in the house document it and go back to the bank to renegotiate the price. Armondo claims that the property is worth about 170,000. Supposedly the girl renegogiates the price and buys it for 170,000 and Armondo buys it for 172,900. Later on he finds out that the original price for the property was 209,000. Gee someone tried to scam Armondo. However during the last scene of the episode when the Sale Pending is put on the property sign it looks as if the young contract flipper is there and part of Armondo's staff....mmmmmmmmm. The budget is 65,000. The timeline is 21 days. Problems: The roof is rotten in places and needs new sheathing. The electical is all patchwork. Looks as if someone collected bits and pieces from a number of job sites and spliced all the electrical in the house. It all needs to be replaced. Armondo destroys the mother-in-law suite and they put in a carport instead of the 3 car state of the art garage Veronica wanted. That really bothered me why on earth would you need a 3 car garage and a state of the art one. It would have been a massive overbuild. Veronica wanted to spend $20,000 on the garage. That just didn't make any sense and yet keep the 47 yr old windows??? The mother-in-law suite is also illegally hooked up to the main house wiring. They need two meters not one. The electrician also mentions that the mother-in-law suite has a separate mailbox and address from the main house. Veronica is worried that they may not legally owe all the property and is not sure which one they own. Not to worry everything is resolved in 21 days. Total cost: 172,900 + 64,000 (budget) = 236,900 On sale for: 335,000 Potential profit: 98,100 Interesting to note that when the project became Veronica's baby she all of a sudden wanted to cut costs and use substandard materials. I wonder is all flippers have this problem??

| Re: 6/17/07 - comments I don't have a problem with anyone writing a book, its the written, got a publisher and printed the book in 3 weeks that makes absolutely no sense.
