So She Thinks She Can Host FOX’s New Dance Reality Show

FOX has announced that the host of their new competitive dance series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE will be Lauren Sanchez, Emmy-winning entertainment reporter for local FOX affiliate KTTV in Los Angeles and anchor of KCOP UPN 13 News.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, which premieres Wednesday, July 20 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, hopes to be to dancers dreaming of fame what AMERICAN IDOL was to striving, would-be singers—an appropriate aim for a show brought to audiences by the creators of AMERICAN IDOL and the producers of AMERICAN BANDSTAND (19 TV Ltd. and dick clark productions).

Sanchez, who started her career at KCOP-TV, and has held positions as anchor/reporter for various channels, has also been a correspondent for EXTRA, and made appearances in films, such as Fight Club, The Longest Yard and the forthcoming Fantastic Four.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, will premiere Wednesday, July 20 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
