LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) The models, you've seen, what with "America's Next Top Model" about to enter its fifth cycle and Bravo's "Manhunt" taking care of the guys.
VH1 is now hoping you'll care about some of the people who make sure you know who those models are.
The cable channel, which recently snagged the rerun rights to "Top Model," has ordered 10 episodes of an unscripted show called "The Agency" that will explore the workings of one of the world's foremost modeling agencies. It's scheduled to premiere in the fall.
"The Agency" -- not to be confused with the CIA drama that aired on CBS a few seasons ago -- will follow seven booking agents at the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency as they try to mold their clients into "the most sought after and recognizable faces in the world." VH1 also promises a warts-and-all look at the business, saying that the folks at Wilhelmina are "not afraid to tell the sometimes not so beautiful story" that drives the business of beauty.
The show will also follow some stories inside the agency, as Wilhelmina looks to expand its business beyond just model representation. Into producing television shows, for instance: Wilhelmina Productions is producing "The Agency" with GRB Entertainment VH1.
Wilhelmina's president, Sean Patterson, is an executive producer, as is the company's Corey Preston. Gary Benz, Michael Hirschorn, Shelly Tatro and Danielle Gelfand are also exec producers.
