    Perhaps she could try straws.
They would fill the requirement of being "hay shaped" yet at the same time plastic.

Maybe she'll go another route and pick something else that lots of people are allergic to.
    I can see it now.
An entire carpet fashioned from pollen.

I would die laughing! If I didn't die sneezing first!
Im haunted a little this evening by feelings that have no vocabulary and events that should be explained in dimensions of lint rather than words.

The teenaged daughter loved it. Of course, her favorite colors are purple and yellow. Blech. The mother didn't say much ... I think she was somewhat in shock. Both of the kids just seemed elated that the decor had changed. I think they'd have even loved hay on the walls!

You're probably right Eden, the kids looked as though they had seen that decor for their entire lives.

I can't stand Kia, so much so that I'll flip channels if she's one of the Designers of the Day. She seems to have the same contempt for the homeowners that Hilde does... the purple television room was unpleasant, but the grave-blanket flower coverlet for the attic room was atrocious.

And remember, she made about fifty percent of the available space up there unusuable by cutting the attic in half with a picket fence (which doubtless adds to the cemetery ambiance in the dark) and a swing. A swing. In a room with inward-sloping walls.

    AIIIIEEEE!
