I sure hope Planet Green or Fine Living network, or even Food TV gives Lisa a chance. I think she would be great.
Kind of crappy to give Adam's idea to someone else like that, but I'm sure there is some disclaimer that says all ideas, etc are property of Food TV. He didn't really have the expertise to do that kind of show anyway... unless his answer to everything were BBQ or smoke it.
I agree that Lisa seemed the most prepared/ready to "hit the ground running" and start a new show. However, I could see it from a mile away that the Selection Committee was pushing for an Aaron win, and that's unfortunate. All three pilots were good, and, yes, Aaron's pilot was a big improvement over his prior on-camera experiences. But, how much of that can be chalked up to Aaron actually improving his skills and the producer(s) basically telling him what to do?

He should've gone home.
I agree. I do believe he was slated to win. They were not looking for another woman to make fancy food approachable. Last year Amy with her Gourmet Next Door had the same point of view. Her show tanked because she did not have a compelling personality but her theme was common.

Pasta salad has no place on the FN. It is a common, tasteless, lame pot luck offering we all run into far too often. I was shocked he served two let alone one! It showed me he has a very small repetoire and lacks imagination. I doubt his show will survive.

Damn I wish they would offer Lisa something. I really do want to know more about how she cooks. Her frenetic manner and squinting did her in. I really think she had a shot if she had been able to take their advice sooner.

Huh? Are you saying that Adam is gay? Just wondering because I never picked up on that.

I was wondering the same thing. I have noticed that Bobby didn't seem to care much for Adam.

I almost hate to put this out there... but was he (Aaron) maybe picked to 'diversify' the faces of Food Network?

I couldn't even understand him when he was saying his own name! I still don't know what his last name is, as every time he said it, it sounded like garbled goobledegook. The FN really blew it on this one. I do think it was a set up to get another "ethnic" host on their network. At this point I do not even believe the "fan favorite" poll results were accurate, as they had Aaron so ahead of Lisa and Adam.

We actually liked Adam for the first time in the finale. We thought he hit his pilot out of the park. Lisa seemed to have a patronizing sing-song in her pilot, which I did not notice in the filming segment, so I think they tried to torpedo her chances by showing a bad take... not that she had a chance, as they had clearly made up their minds beforehand. Even the way they positioned Aaron front and center at the "judging" showed they had already made up their minds.

To whoever said Aaron got more coaching in Vegas than the others, we think he also got more coaching from Gordon Elliot. Gordon even came up with the name for his show, as Aaron cannot seem to string together a coherent sentence.

Wow, that really stinks. I hope they gave Adam some remuneration for stealing his idea, or at least a producer's credit. They have not brought a good host onto the network in forever.

You did not miss a thing. It was boring, and he was just reading things off a prompter that he never could have said on his own (remember he stands around like a lump when not coached). There was not one thing he cooked that I would be even remotely interested in eating, much less cooking.

They need to interview the Fast Food Nation and Omnivore's Dilemma authors and learn about the dangers of beef instead of showing all those beef recipes!

Harvest, yes! I just realized what his last name was when it was printed on the screen during the finale. The entire show I thought it was McArdle! They are going to have to use subtitles for ingredients or this show is just not going to work.

I just sat there and shook my head as i read that CA.. but its SO true. I was so distracted trying to figure out what he said.. that i was so behind in his clip i never caught up.

And on a side note.. i know that a lot will mention Lisa's squinintg (which i think can be fixed with corrective lenses) but Aarons lip licking.. is gross to me.. he does it while he talks and i dont know.. again, it distracts me.

I noticed the lip licking too. Yuck! My b/f used to do that before he kissed me! I set him straight though, lol.
