Maybe you'll have to buy the book to find out.

Next week looks frightening. I think I caught a quick glimpse of the daughter pushing the Mom down the stairs!

next week we get our first gllimpse of a single mom's family. She's a widow, not a divorcee, but a first for this show anyway.

Indeed. They also get to call them "mom", "dad" and "brother" and mean it. It's also important to remember that kids in the "system" are booted out when they reach 18 (?) and are totally alone. At least, in this situation, they have a family for life. A family to come home to. To spend Christmas with. To share their adult life with. This is one of the reasons I'm presently considering adopting an older child (13-14). Of course, my BIG reason is I want a daughter but it feels good to know I'm giving a child a permanent, life-long family as well.

What a touching episode.. Hunter sure was the lil savior, not to mention he's the PIANOMAN to boot!!

Next weeks episode looks really disturbing.. I'm glad to see that they're willing to "tackle" the older problem children. Typically, the kids are aren't over the age of 9(ish).

Tonight, a widow with 2 rotten kids. Mom says the kids are treating her differently since her husband passed away. I don't see how my mom did it with 5 kids after my dad died.

Sorry Unk. Gotta tape it so I can watch the 3-hour Ho-Fest finale on ABC.
