| Once a Chemist... **I think Gabe's idea of the Rat Pack is coolness, belonging and comradery.** Nike7, This is odd. The guy is alone so belonging and comradery with whom? Himself? I can understand trying to look cool. If Gabe is out to look cool, then he might want to consider extensive dental work and clothes that match. Gabe's story alone could be a reality TV show. Gabe should have never dropped out of the PHD program. If he remained consider where he might be now. Think of all the good the might have come from the continued education. I wonder if Gabe signed out of rehab because he wanted to return to gambling. This all makes for an interesting story chemist by day and entertainer by night. One career finances the other. Gabe never learned how to multi-task and work both sides. If Gabe wanted to sing and play an instrument why not take lessons? |

![]() But I'm thinking dental work and clothes might cut into his gambling money. We all have to have our priorities you know. ![]()

That's the only thing I can figure. Or my best guess, I'd say. We'll see how it pans out. Love the show, looking forward to it. | ||

| His Name is Gabe. Nike7: Where is this $ coming from? Where did the pool of $ come from? I understand the parents paid the finance charges or the entire debt. Was there a savings, credit card, or loan shark? If Gabe borrowed $ from a loan shark, then his parents would have to pay back or they could be visited their son in a medical center. Who would cover the medical bills? Gambling is really tough stuff unlike other addictions here there exists a payback element. If you go to a bar and pay for a shot of Wild Turkey you lose the money and the drink. Nothing cannot makeup the $. The only perk is happy house where drinks are at a discount price or a drink on the house. Gambling you could win your money many times over. Gabe is correct when he said the next hand could be the winner. The bright lights, big city, the money, the drinks, entertainment, the night life, the people, the pent house suite, and all else associated with the Casino Gambling scene can really be overwhelming. If this becomes Gabe's source of income and employment then he must consistently maintain and never take a hit too great. However, this was not the case. I am not going to knock Gambling. Actually, I find Gambling quite interesting based on the payback element. But, it all depends who the individual is that gambles. I think poor Gabe just could not cut it. So to remain in entertainment he sings and plays a keyboard. I cannot imagine he will be booked anywhere anytime soon. Could you imagine Gabe being booked for a wedding? With his luck, the wedding would be held in Las Vegas at a Casino. I just wonder if anyone enjoyed Gabe's singing and/or piano playing. ersonaly, I thought Gabe's keyboard playing surpassed his vocal ability. If Gabe does win in the casin perhaps he could have some dental work done. |

He was gambling before with money that they didn't know he had. Who knows where he gets money. Quote:
It's a very intoxicating thing to win money. With Gabe's "it's all about me" attitude I'll he thinks he deserves to win. I bet he thinks it's just a matter of time before it happens. (Who'll give me odds on that bet? Anyone?)

| Gambling on Gabe Nike7, I think Gabe's parents pay rent & debt. I am not certain if they provide spending money. I wonder about Gabe's social development. Does he have a girl friend? What about marriage? I think betting on Gabe is a loss for sure. If Gabe was a horse, then he might wait at the starting line after the bell just to complain because an audience is available. Maybe gabe could get a gig playing the keyboard an singng at a casino by the slot machines. What are the odds? |

| New Season OK, who saw the new show? I thought it was a good one. The family was open with Corrine about the fact that they knew she was getting high and they didn't approve. I LOVED the grandma. What a great lady. Honest and straight forward but loving and kind. The mom seems pissed and hurt but who can blame her? I just wondered if she was like that before this all started or if it had changed her into that kinda hard person. The dad looked like he wanted to cry allot of the show. I hope Corrine gets and stays clean in the long run. This was much better to watch than if it had been about her boyfriend and his “father”. He just sits in his easy chair while his son steals from him to get high in the basement with his girlfriend. I don't know where they get the crap they were smoking. I never puked like that. ![]()

| Is this the show I watched the other night on A and E? There were two guys, one a Very young alcoholic and the other a middle aged guy addicted to pain meds. The young guy seriously looked older than his dad (alkie also looked like Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers). I went to bed before it ended, but I did wonder what happened to the young guy. He seemed to be working hard at going downhill super-fast, was kind of in love with the idea he is a bad-boy. Proud of his identity as a screw-up. Anyone else see this? |

I can fill you in if I know which show it was. Was the young alkie homeless & did the pain meds addict have a surgically implanted pump? The new season came on directly after that at 10pm. Was this your first time watching Intervention? What did you think?

| That was the first time I watched it. I liked it, I'm just exhausted this week (clocks changing, fighting off flu) and couldn't stay awake! That was the show I watched, I didn't realise it was a repeat. If you could fill me in, I'd be really grateful. I liked it, good reality tv, but I can't say for sure as I missed the last half. |
