The new season of Intervention starts October 30th.

Corrine (#14).
Airs on Sunday, October 30 at 10:00pm ET

Corinne is a pretty 18 year-old blonde girl who was an honor roll student, star athlete and played the clarinet and saxophone. She grew up in a normal middle class family. Corinne started using drugs at 14 after being sexually abused by a neighborhood boy who babysat her. Still striving to move forward while battling her addictions, she completed her GED and began college, finishing two semesters before dropping out. Now, Corinne has become addicted to a deadly combination of heroin and crystal meth. Corinne likes the "speedball effect" -- the dangerous result of overlapping meth and heroin usage. Corinne is also a diabetic who requires insulin, but she often skips her doses because she is so high. After repeated trips to the emergency room, her family is expecting, any minute, to hear that they've lost her for good.

Hello all,

I am fond of A&E's Intervention program and wanting to ask everyone the following: Since Gabe decided to scrap a PHD program for Entertainment what did people think of his Singing and Piano playing? Gabe sand and played the keyboard on the Intervention Follow Up show.
Gabe actually revealed his entire game plan. He said "I always wanted to be part of The Rat Pack." This explains casinos, music, singing, and entertainment. Amazing how someone $500,000 in debt can live in a duplex apartment. That's just unrealistic. His "shoot" style "Ashamed" speech seemed to be more of a "Worked" Acting audition. Any notice when he gave the Ashamed speech the camera basically filmed a head shot approach.
A&E could try to do a reality show around gave. The show could be called "Spoiled Rotten."

Can anyone please tell me who sings the song from the commercial of intervention not the Bare Naked Ladies song I am looking for the new one it says "I broke the heart of someone pure" and its a girl who sings it. If anyone knows please post it or e-mail me Thanx so much.

The song I believe you are thinking of is called "Five Steps" by The Davenports from the recording "Speaking of The Davenports."
To be certain, if you browse the Amazon web site you can sample 30 seconds of the song. This should be a match.

Speaking of music, I was wondering for those who watched the Intervention Follow up show what people thought of Gabe's piano playing and singing. After all, Gabe did abandon a PHD program for a career in entertainment. Was this worth it? You could easily do reality show about Gabe called “Glutton For Punishment.”

As for the "singing" it was embassising to say the least.

Gabe needs to get a day job and stick to it!
As a matter of fact, he needs to get several jobs and pay off his debts!

My parents never would have put up with that whinniness.

Could you imagine if Gabe tried to live on his music alone?
I am still lost on the why aspect of Gabe's transition from Chemistry to Entertainment.
Why would Gabe drop out of a PHD Program for a career in entertainment?
Gabe has never been groomed for singing or playing an instrument.
Why would Gabe want to be part of a Rat Pack when he is the only member?
Why would Gabe gamble alone?
A Rat Pack would stick together. Who are the other members Mom and Dad?
I suppose it's all relative how much $ is considered a drop in the bucket next to being in debt $200,000 or more? I just cannot comprehend why Gabe would switch from Chemistry (which he is taylor made for and groomed for) to Entertainment (with no formal training) without being influenced. If this is how Gabe handles Gambling, pressure, money, and let down imagine how he would deal with entertainment success. He would be worse. There would never be enough win nor loss.

The key word it "want". He isn’t there yet and he knows it.
I think Gabe's idea of the Rat Pack is coolness, belonging and comradery.

He seems lonely and with that spoiled whinny attitude it's no wonder

That's one of the signs of addiction. Think about it.
If you are alone no one stops you from doing what you are compelled to do.
You don't have to share. You can lie about how much you did and no one will know for sure.
