I liked parts of this room. Gen doesn't ever do anything completely horrible. I liked the faux finish and I didn't mind the slipcovers but that TV stand was gross. I don't know why Ty couldn't have built a more proper entertainment center wtih a shelf below it or something, in case they wanted say, a VCR or DVD player to be hooked up on that TV.

I missed the episode but the room looks way to crowded, and way to dark to me. I would not have been happy.

Eh...not Gen's best, but certainly not her worst, either.

I generally don't like Gen's designs and this one is not exception.

I liked the walls and how she tied them and the fireplace into the poster.

I hated the slip covers, I think they look like cow print and don't sit the room at all imo.
I also don't like that she used black curtains.
I think fabric in the darker colour from the poster, perhaps edged in black on a heavy black rod would have made for a better look and would ave lightened the room up a lot.

    Forgot to add.

    I hated the tv stand.
I don't think it fitted into the feel of the fireplace at all.
I think it looked too modern and out of place.

That's whatI 'm thinking. She could have mimicked the fireplace, sort of, by building a tall skinny unit with the TV resting on top and a shelf or two below for a DVD player and some DVDs or something. They don't have anywhere to put one now.

Thought this room sucked all the way around. Egg yolk yellow, red, black, white, orange ... um, did I miss anything? The curtains looked positively funerial nd that tv stand was butt-fugly (and how would you get your cable connection up there, much less a dvd player/vcr?).

And can I mention that Gen drives me up a wall? If she points out one more time that she doesn't wear shoes, I'll croak. Yes, Gen, we know, you don't wear freaking shoes!!!

Loved the HOs on this show, though. Loved naked HO and "get us some nookie behind the closed door" HOs. Good picks, Banyan!

I agree, the HO's were a lot of fun.

Yep, never been a fan of Gen or her designs, but this one did have a few elements I liked.
