    I love watching this show!!

I am a fan of the original Japanese version too. I caught a rerun on late night TV a few nights ago. If Im not mistaken I think it was on the Fine Living network.

I love the original, too. The artistry of the Japaneses chefs never ceased to amaze me. Chairman Kaga was also a fictional character played by an actor, a musical theater actor no less. There are a lot of links to his information, but here's a short one from food network.

i so want to try a langoustine - they just sound yummy. i love lobster, crab, shrimp, scallops, clams- if it lives in a shell and comes from the sea, i am there!

I loved the look on the faces of the Italian challenger and Mario Battali last night when the secret ingredient was rice. They both came up with some interesting things, but I don't know how anyone could eat that gray mess the challenger made with squid ink. Yuck.

I have never eaten anything with squid ink but I agree, it looks really gross. I love this show and try not to miss it! I wish more people would pick the new Iron Chef though because his cooking style is something I can watch and do as well!

It's Chef Michael Simon...I have only seen 1 episode with him in it since he won "The Next Iron Chef." I keep trying to find out how many episodes he did and why they never show him....I LOVE him!!
