I was wondering if there was ever going to be a thread for this show.

So far, I've only been able to catch one and a half episodes. I never know when it's on.

    When does it usually run?

It airs "Sunday 9pm ET/PT," but on our satellite that means 6pm. They have some kind of online "game" you can play along with the show, but we Tivo it and I never remember to catch it right when it airs.

    Here's the schedule:

I saw an ad for Iron Chef Women but there's nothing on the Food Net website. Has anyone heard when that will be on?

I just saw the ad for this. It's on April 3, at 9pm EST.
I live in my own world. But it's ok, they know me there.

I got hooked on the Original Iron Chef at 3 AM weeknights (late shift, don'tcha know?) and was totally psyched to see Iron Chef America coming on, but I've been disappointed. I liked the "campy" flavor of the original. All I think to myself is "Do the Japanese watch our version and think to themselves, 'My God, what WASTE?'"
As far as it (the original) MEANING to be campy? Nu-uh, not to the Japanese, I'm willing to bet. Ever seen those mashochistic shows on "Spike TV?"
I will confess to wanting to see Emeril go against Flay. ACTUALLY, my Dream would have been Chen against Emeril. Kick THAT up a notch.

I'd like to see Emeril get his butt kicked by any of them.

I saw Bobby Flay as a guest on Emeril's St. Patrick's Day show ("Irish pub grub"), and they made it a little Iron-Chef-esque by bringing out secret ingredients that they each then had to make someting out of. I liked that show better than I like Emeril's or Bobby's individual shows, I must confess.

Last week's Iron Chef where Mario won big was cool. Whenever he cooks I wish I could eat his dishes, so I'm not surprised he gets such high marks -- 29 out of 30 on taste!

As for the female chefs, I'm not sure if I don't like Cat Cora or if I just don't like that show she's on, Kitchen Accomplished. Guess we'll see soon enough.

Has anybody heard which other female chefs will be on?
