Press Release from:

Reality TV Meets Online Matchmaking

A new website aims to connect everyday people with their favorite reality television contestants.

Redford, MI (PRWEB) November 8, 2004 -- Single? Ever wonder if your favorite reality television star might be interested in going out on a date with you?

If so, you just might be able to get your wish soon on a new web site, that aims to connect everyday people with their favorite reality television contestants.

Playing to an adult show-and-tell market of sorts--and yet without porn or "inappropriate" allows guys and gals to upload photos of themselves and a brief bio in hopes of landing a date with their favorite reality television personality, as anonymous web surfers cast a hot-or-not vote on each photo subject.

“Basically, after reading about the success of other photo ratings sites made me think, wouldn't it be cool if there was a Web site where you could announce to the world your interest in going out on a date with your favorite reality show personality?” said Jim Wilson, the brainchild behind the reality matchmaking site.

Wilson likens the situation to running a personals ad. You post an ad seeking the type of woman you'd like to date, she notices the ad, likes what she reads and then responds.

"This is the exact same model we are using, only the person you’re seeking happens to be a television personality, Jim said.

Just a few years ago, online dating was characterized as the domain of the desperate or deranged.

Today, millions of American singles have a profile on at least one matchmaking site. According to Internet research company comScore, 40 million Americans are active on online dating sites every month.

“Many people fantasize about dating a television personality but now they have a chance to hopefully turn that fantasy into reality,” said James.
