Not surprisingly, I like this room. But, then again, I like most of Laurie's rooms. I'm just sorry we missed the show.
This was actually a nice room to begin with. It was obvious that a designer didn't do the before, but it wasn't a bad room... although I don't like the color
"Rice is great when you're hungry and want 2,000 of something' -- Mitch Hedberg
Yeah, I didn't think there was anything necessarily wrong with the "before", either...
I thought the room was ok to begin with, but thought the wall colour a little "heavy".
It's one of those colours that probably looked great in the tin, but doesn't always look so good on the walls.
A grey based purple like that will always soak up a lot of the light in the room too.
I really liked Laurie's room.
She does go OTT with her fabric sometimes in that she goes for very expensive fabrics on a limited budget.
The picture makes the bed cover fabric look rather "weak" in comparisson to the large plaid and the solid she used for the headboard, but it looked a lot stronger on the tv.
I didn't see this episode, but how can this be Laurie's room? I don't see any yellow or orange.
She was very safe with this design. Safe, safe, safe. It is nice, though.
You're right, Ducky. This was a very "safe" design for Laurie. But, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen her doing something totally outlandish like....oh, flowers all over a bathroom?
That's true, but she has gone for bolder colours on occasion. Paige said "You don't have to worry when Laurie gets your room" during the reveal, which makes me think they were freaking out about a flower monstrosity in their room.
