[QUOTE=holly71]Ugh! I couldn't believe when she was saying how good her friend's boobs look! Her friend's boob job was horrid! They looked like Frankenboobs.
    QUOTE]

Frankenboobs, HA HA! Thanks holly71 I needed the laugh. They need to get the name of the surgeon who did her and let poor unsuspecting women know about him so they can STAY AWAY from him. You could pook an eye out with them.

I couldn't believe how hateful that Vanessa woman was to him! She was a skank, too. What was wrong with her chest the way it was anyway? I didn't see all of the episode but her attitude, from what I saw, was ridiculous. What an arrogant person.

    anyone see this weeks episode?

Liked Dr. Diamond's nose patient. Interesting to note that a crooked septum can cause so much trouble, such as snoring and constantly waking up (due to lack of oxygen) and not getting enough sleep and lack of energy, especially when you see how tiny the bone is. What I really liked is that she looked like herself after the surgery not totally unrecognizable.

Felt gops for Dr. Alter's transexual patient, Alexandra, I am so glad that both her parents were so loving and supportive of her.

Dr. Rey's pro bono patient. It sounds as if he only does 1 pro bono case a year?????

I did like seeing him involved in Syndey's life and concerned about her future, but I can also understand Haley's famous words "enough with the Tai Kwon Do".

That porn star that had her but bleached last week was on Howard Stein discussing the procedure. They even had her naked and bent over and one of the crew was touching her butt or applying the bleaching cream. She claimed she was enjoying it. The gentleman was wearing gloves.

It was a real EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! moment.

    5/16 episode

Hayley is blind as a bat and had lasix and now sees 20/20. good for her. hope it lasts.

She and Dr. Rey are very competitvie and we saw some light hearted moments of them playing pool together.

Dr. Jason Diamond, put a down payment on a diamond engagement ring, worth $25,000 dollars. I guess mom was right marry a doctor and have a boyfriend on the side and all is right with the world.

    Dr. Li is pregnant. Congratulations.

The main theme of this show is surgery on two woman who have had weight problems. One hispanic girl had gastric bypass and went from 230 to 125, unfortunately she mentions that she lost the wieght so fast that the skin could not keep up and she needed a tummy tuck and breast implants. She wants to pursue a career as a model. OK, this girl has serious obesity problems on both sides of her family and she took drastic action. But she needs to excerise and tone up. I don't think she will be that successful as a model , she does not look as if she is even 5'6". She has 2 serious scars from her gastric bypass and tummy tuck. That is mucho bucks in the digital lab erasing that in addition to her stretch marks. I truly do not want to discourage this girl but I really think this photographer is taking her on a ride as far as a career in modeling goes.

The second girl is 33 yrs old but looking at her face and her demeanor I thought she was much younger, 20 even. She has gained quite abit of weight in her hip and thighs and wants to take control over her life and health by having liposuction so she can start exercising. I have real issues with having plastic surgery to lose weight. I feel it is a bit of a cop out and would rather she lost the weight then had the surgery. Anyway Dr. Li removes 5 liters of fat from her butt, hips and flanks. Dr. Li wanted to remove more because the girl had more to remove but surgical boards are recommending removing only 5 liters of fat at a time due to risks to the patient. The before and after photos are remarkable. The girl is trying to reshape her life by walking on her treadmill and taking yoga and watching what she eats. She says she has lost 20 lbs, but it is never specified if she lost an additonal 20 lbs due to her own efforts or just due to the liposuction. She does say she needs to loose 40 more. Good Luck to her. Dr. Li does recommend more lipo in the future but the patient was reluctant as I guess it was very painful.

Next week is the season finale.

ITA about that girl not being model material, unless she is referring to commercial modeling, which is much more versatile & "forgiving" of flaws.

As far as the lipo girl, again we agree! She should have lost some weight before having lipo. I was kinda surprised Dr. Li didn't tell her "lose ___ pounds & then we'll discuss lipo"

I felt that this particlular girl and situation was sorta like the chicken and egg game, do I exercise and diet to loose wieght so I can have surgery or the fat is so uncomfortable I need to get rid of it first so I can diet and exercise.

I just wish the producers would keep track of some of these patients so we can see the results or lack of them 6 months down the road.

    5/23/05 episode

I was rather dissappointed in tonights episode. From the previews given last week the implication was that tonights show would be the season finale. Well, it was not but you don't realize this until the end. This episode was also very disjointed as far as editing. About 2 weeks ago the previews have been showing a women having a tummy tuck after losing 95 lbs following a gastric bypass. This woman had 2 back to back pregnancies and had gained over 120Lbs, had the GBypass and lost 95 lbs and has a lot of loose skin in the tummy. She was a patient of Dr. Li's. We see Dr. Li and her husband and her mom all go to Taiwan and China to visit for a 10 day vacation. You get to see the family temple were her great grand parents are buried.

There is a little shot of one of the older doctors we haven't seen in a while do a nose job on a stunt women named Ace. Her friend is named Spice and I have seen her before playing Klingons in several Star Trek episodes.

A quick shot of Doctor Raj, who says he works about 4 to 6 wks then scehdules a vacation, this time in San Moritz, it was a ski vacation in Switzerland. There was a general theme of hard working doctors and their vacations. Dr. Li works 50 to 60 hours a week and this is the first vacation she has had in 3 yrs. Dr. Rey works 80 hours a week and he and Hayley and the family went to Carmel were it rained all week and he managed to get Hayley upset by saying that he needs to break a 'small' brick to pass his black belt test. Hayley found a lump in her breast iand has to have a biopsy. They left this little tidbit at the end and left us hanging for next weeks episode.

Next they show Dr. Diamond saying he has to build up his practice and is going to a party were he discusses with a group of housewives the possible procedures they can have. One of the ladies ends up being a patient and has a lower face lift that turned out quite well.

This entire post is a s disjointed as the episode and the editors of this show need a big kick in the rear end for how they have been showing previews and misleading the audience. I clearly heard them say that tonights episode was the finale but the previews show that there is another episode. I wish this was over so I can say good bye to the spring season and get ready for the summer shows.

BC, you summed it up perfectly: disjointed.

This episode didn't flow well at all. There wasn't good continuity to it. Bad editing job, I suppose.

So, what did folks think of the finale?

It was nice that Hailey's breast lumps were nothing to worry about, but I thought it was hilarious at the end when Dr. Rey got the call to go to surgery, and he just ran out of the room and left Hailey there without even saying goodbye. He seems like a self-centered kid most of the time, but I do think he loves her.

It was nice to see Dr. Diamond and his girlfriend get engaged. They'll have beautiful children.

I think Dr. Li is the sweetest thing! She really supports her patients and is so genuine. I wish she were my doctor. I am so happy that she is going to have the baby she's wanted for so long.

Looking forward to hearing others' thoughts on the finale.

    Emily
