"Cold Turkey" ~ anyone else hear about this?

A couple of days ago, my husband & I were watching "Extra" & they showed a snippet of a new reality show. The premise of the show was that they take 15 (I think it was 15) people who want to quit smoking & put them all in one house while they quit cold turkey. I don't know if it's like "Real World" where they can come & go from the house, or if it's like "Big Brother" where you are confined to the house (the BB idea would make more sense to me). Anyway, we both thought that it had the potential to be full of fireworks, since when people quit smoking, they are generally edgy anyway, but then to compound it with 15 people all together, plus being away from their families, etc...well, it could get ugly!
They should do this with a group of dieters too!

This is a wonderful idea... it could end up in some real brawls... but other than that, I think it's great to get people off cigarettes by doing a show like this.

    Looks funny to me

I can't wait to watch this show! How funny! and what a great idea, finally... something good can come out of one of these TV shows. I saw the extra thing as well, I believe it is ten not fifteen people.

I heard about this, and I agree, its intriguing. However, I heard that they didn't know that they would have to quit smoking and some of them were pissed off! I guess they must have given them a good incentive to stay. I'll probably watch, it should be entertaining.

I'd definately watch, and I'd definately try this one as a contestant.

If anyone has any info on this...post away!

It's going to be on PAX in the fall, and it sounds like a riot!

When I quit smoking about five or six years ago, I lived alone, so I just stocked up on food and bottled water and stayed inside my apartment for a long weekend with no cigarettes and tried to sleep as much as possible until the nicotine was out of my system. If I'd had to put up with other people -- who were also in the throes of nicotine fits -- I don't know what might have happened!
