As recounted on the show's Web site, the officer flouted guidelines by making the motorist get out of the car, then locking his keys inside and telling him to catch a cab home. The encounter ultimately ended with officers having to wrestle the enraged suspect to the ground and arrest him.
I'll have to admit I was shaking my head at that scene. I didn't think the officer handled that properly at all.

But I very much value the honesty of this show. Cops are as human as everyone else, and just as flawed. I think they're doing a heck of a job out there, and this show has certainly not made me think less of the police. It's fascinating. I hope the bad press doesn't get it taken off the air.
