    Kia's military room

    Ugh, what was she thinking?
I knew it wouldn't be long before we saw the re-introduction of border roll into her plans.

They live on a military base, doesn't she think they see enough dull colours and camoflage?

    I really feel for them.
Kia needs to stop dping theme room for adults.

yeah, the homeowners were not that happy... at least the wife wasn't.
I didn't hate it. In fact, I dislike the before and after picture more than the actual show, which is odd for me.

I think she just needs to stop doing rooms in general.

Just cause you throw paint on a piece of furniture and move it three feet, does not mean it will look better. That room needed something to lift the eye up like a piece of art or two or some wall sconces. Boring, bad fit.

I agree with JR and Feif.

The only thing to life the grey gloom of Kia's room was the red couch, but that stuck out like a sore thumb.

Her gloomy scheme sucked the life out of the room imo.

Was the couch red or hot pink or salmon or whatever? Bad slip cover; fit and color. There was nothing exciting about this room except maybe the throwdown that was not caught on tape after the show. I hope they like their furnature painted that color and can find some other slipcovers and pillows to balance the room out better. They also need some art and lighting on the walls to draw the eye up as I stated in the earlier post. At least they have a freshcoat of paint and maybe they can do something with that.

It was red, but nto what I would call a "true" red.
It certainly had pinky tones too it.
It was a bad fit, but better than having the sofa covered in parachute fabric.

I think their best hope for coming up with a scheme is that she did at least add some architectural detail.
The room was very boxy before, but she added the moulding which can be made into a nice feature if they ditch the camoflage border.
