I didn't dislike it as much as the HO's did, but a cement (or cement-looking) table? Another Hildi-ous creation...

    I hated this room.
Hilde uses some really unpleasant paint colours.
There simply wans't time to do the gold and silver leafing to a decent standard,so she shouldn't have done it at all imo.
I hated the square shape of the table too.
Concrete has been really big for a few years, particularly in kitchen counter tops in lofts, but it was all wrong in this house imo.
Including an "out of place" element can create the "tension" some designers enjoy, but you have to know when, where and on what scale to use it.
Hilde just didn't get it right here imo.

How often does Hildi ever really get it right, though?

Even when she doesn't feather the walls...she seems to miss the mark most days....this room was no exception....

    to both Lobes and MG.

If Hilde decides to go neutral in a room, then she tends to pick a really unpleasant colour, witness the "baby poo" room where she pebbled the fireplace and took up the carpet leaving concrete floor for a family with toddlers :rolleys

This orange she used was a very unattractive shade imo, caught somewhere between a terracotta and an 80's peach.

    Ugh, terrible.

Those poor (err...rich) people! To take a simple and easy to accent room and spend the energy on that ceiling...and ugly color is wrong. Plain and simple wrong.

    Go away Hildy.
