Bingo. The key word here is "authentic." It drives me nuts when these so-called designers "go ethnic" and come up with nothing but stereotypes. Would it be too much for them to do a little basic research to find out what truly represents a (insert geographic or ethinc reference here) style?

Nope, finally a room with no wall paper border.
I liked the wine colour she used, but she has to realise a colour does not become authentic Egyptian just because you put "Tut" in front of the name.
I even notice this on Changing Rooms. Linda Barker did what she called a "New England" room and it had nothing whatsoever New Englandy about it. I believe she also did a "North American" room once, and used stars and stripes pillows.
Lazy, lazy designers!
