Did anyone else watch FOOD COURT WARS hosted by Tyler Florence?

I was rooting for the older couple who made the tamales. Had a moment or two of sadness when they didn't win . . . . but it was short lived when Tyler announced the 'winning' couple couldn't fulfill their contract due to personal reasons. Glad Mary and Thomas will get their chance.

I've always loved Jacques Pepin. Besides being a great French cook, he was quite easy on the eyes as a young man. Also enjoying Ming Tsai and Yan.

He can make cooking seem so effortless, yet he doesn't talk down to the viewer. He cooked a chicken the other day that I think I could actually make.

Is Food Court Wars replacing Food Truck Race? If so, how unfortunate.
I watched the episode last night, but it didn't really hold my attention.

I could be wrong, but I want to say I remember them doing this show last year, too. I didn't watch this latest episode.

I remember there being some sort of mall food contest. The judges were Bobby Flay, a woman whose name I don't remember (but, I think, has been a judge on other shows?), and the Chipotle guy. But, IIRC, there were more contestant teams, and no one won anything until the very end of the series.

They ran an earlier episode of Food Court Wars about a year ago (at a really "off" time, like 2 am)...I recorded it and watched it then. Same concept, same judge, same just-about-everything. The good part (for me) is that the winner gets the space rent-free for a year, which means they have time to work out all the kinks.

I believe the next season of the Food Truck Race has already been recorded...there were various tweets about it several months ago.

Are you all watching the first episode of The Shed following Food Network Star this evening? Hilarious!

The regular time for this new show is Mondays at 10PM.

Haven't watched this yet, but have been subjected to the gawdawful promos.
Is this the "vittles" version of Duck Dynasty?
    Umm...yeah...so not interested.
    But carry on...
