Well, I didn't make the cut

Hi everyone.

I didn't make the cut to go through to the next level. I'm gutted of course but my husband says he loves me just as I am which eases the pain a bit...

I'm not sure of all the reasons I didn't qualify, but there were a lot of factors I needed to pass through. Nothing personal disqualified me though I was told. I only got the phone call because the lady I've been speaking to and I hit it off and she was the one who pitched me. They don't normally call at all unless you qualify.

For those of you who aren't familiar, I had applied because I have wanted a breast reduction for many years. They cause a lot of back and shoulder pain, but my insurance company won't cover it. I can't be very active which is terrible for me having a 6 year old daughter.

Anyway, thanks so much for all of your support everyone. I appreciated it very much.

I second Hepcat's sentiments. I'm sorry it didn't work out, but you are fortunate to have such a loving and supportive family! And we here at the FoRT love you too!

BTW, I can totally relate to you, Eboughey. I have also wanted a breast reduction for years. I also have the back pain, shoulder pain, even chest compression (trouble breathing), the looks and comments from people I don;t even know, and even the crappy pain that accompanies the supposedly simple act of buying a friggin' bra--and, yup, my insurance does not give a hoot. So I'm totally with you, sister!

I'm glad that I know too. It was absolute torture making it through to the next level and then waiting to find out whether you qualified for one of their storylines.

I hardly got any sleep for 2 weeks. My brain just wouldn't go to sleep...

Sorry you didn't make it through, I am sure your dissapointed. Maybe one day the women underwriters will get it through about things like this and birth control,fertility, and many other womens issues. I bet if men had to deal w/the pain it has inflicted it would be covered!

It's funny, I was just discussing this with my husband the other night (my mom would like reduction surgery). I told him that you can count on the fact that insurance companies will pay to make penises larger long before they cover making breast smaller. Its a sexist industry where many companies covered viagra before birth control.

Just to make sure on one point.

I'm sure that they will do a breast reduction show. I think they may be looking for someone who is like a double G cup or something crazy like that. I'm only DD so I probably didn't fit the criteria. Or maybe they thought I wasn't that bad looking. I'm trying to see the bright side of it...

I must be more upset about it than I thought. I'm having trouble watching the show at all. I wouldn't have but Dana is on and I wanted to make sure I saw it because her sister and I have spoken about it.

Just airing out... It's almost like a grief period.
