Sam's Fashion/Style Tips Will Be Featured in "NEWS YOU CAN USE" on ABC.com

Celebrity fashion stylist Sam Saboura has joined the extreme team of ABC's hit reality show, "Extreme Makeover," as the resident fashion/style guru. In addition to outfitting and unleashing his fashion stylings on the "Extreme Makeover" candidates, ABC.com will feature Sam's expertise in the fields of fashion, personal style, grooming and culture in his "NEWS YOU CAN USE" link, beginning this FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26.

Sam Saboura got his start in the fashion world as a personal shopper at Hollywood's ultra hip boutique, Fred Segal. He parlayed his fashion acumen into a career as a celebrity fashion stylist, outfitting top Hollywood celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, Lara Flynn Boyle, Sarah Jessica Parker, the hosts of MTV's "Movie House" and the Osbournes. In the season premiere of "Extreme Makeover," which aired September 18, Sam overhauled the closets of twin sisters Caroline and Catherine, and turned radio personality Dan into a new and improved heartthrob.

Here are some sample "NEWS YOU CAN USE" tips from Sam:

* Everyone should spend a day shopping without buying one thing. Try on clothes with different shapes and colors to see what actually looks good on your body type. This will be your biggest lesson in shopping and one that will last you a lifetime.

* Let's talk tailoring. The finishing touch on any outfit isn't your accessories. It's the tailoring. An item of clothing that is too big or too long automatically makes you look shorter and heavier, whereas a $10 trip to the tailor's can turn an inexpensive shirt into couture.

* Just because something is on sale doesn't mean you should buy it. Fashion disasters can be inexpensive. If something doesn't look good enough to buy at full price, don't buy it on sale.
