Yeah, this room was very mediocre. . . I was hoping for better after reading his profile on the website!
They should have aired a better room of his first, cause this gave us an awful first impression!

His other red-jungle-tent room was much better, though.

I agree, the pother room was better, but I still didn't like it.
I think he would be hard pushed to do a worse room than this and I hope for the sake of the HO's he doesn't try.

It looks like this one will be featured in "They hated it" from the previews (I hope it will be). Will be interesting to see what the HO's did after Trading Spaces crew left the house.
ps. This is just my opinion in the matter.

Art, I'm with you on this one.
This room did make it to the "They Hated It!" collection, so it seems they had to air it early. I feel sorry for the homeowners but am a big believer that even a room that the homeowners hate can result in good press for the designer and TS. I've rarely seen a room that wasn't "good design" on the show. Matching the homeowner's preferences is another question.

Basically, the HO returned the room to the way it originally looked which was alot better then the Hall of Fabric Hell that Rick had given them....and that table earns a place in the museum of bad art for wanting to be stylish and failing to be anything but ugly...It appears to be most decorators...and Rick has yet to prove he can design...have come to expect to be paid even if the client hates there work....it showed here...in his reply in the they hated show...he didnt care that they didnt like it...
