It is pretty well known in the doctrines of Scientology and from shows and books that have been written, that if one speaks negatively about Scientology and has family or friends in Scientology, that they will be marked as a suppressive person and any contact will be cut off.

I guess if I still wanted to have contact with family, I wouldn’t say anything negative either, especially on a message board.

The show that was on last night seems to imply that the Scientology "relief Workers" go to places where disasters happen to distribute scientology literature, not to actually help disaster victims.

No. Scientologists do not worship God, Jesus, Allah or anyone else. In fact, they do not worship AT ALL. Watch the show, read the books, watch the hundreds of videos made by ex-Scientologists. It's bad news.

OK. Ryansmommy, you say "not true". So then WHO or what do they worship?

    That's exactly what I suspected.

This was an episode that needed to be done. People need to know what a liar and a scammer he was.

Re: Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath on A&E

I have become addicted to this subject. I've watched all the episodes, read more than a dozen books, watch countless video and joined the Facebook group Supporters of Leah Remini Scientology and the Aftermath. (It's a great group and all the mods have been on Leahs show).

One thing has become clear to me. Scientologists are, for the most part, good people. They truly believe that they are helping rid the plant of illness, war, crime, mental illness, etc. They honestly believe that. They do not disconnect from family, mistreat or just ignore their kids, or refuse treatment for mental illness out of malice. They really believe that what they are doing is the only RIGHT thing to do.

It's awfully sad. I have yet to watch an episode without crying.
