The only reason it became a "church" was for the tax exempt status, he admits that. He was one strange individual and his followers were even weirder.

How do people fall for this? People are sheep, they don't want to lead they want to follow. That's how religion works, ever notice that the words flock, follow and shephard are used a lot? Also with Scientology, they only reveal things as the people progress further into the "religion" so they use the tease factor as well.

    Is this the Movie, Charliehourse?

Yes that was a difficult movie but we enjoyed it. Phillip Seymour Hoffman was fantastic in it, actually everyone was.

Yes, a movie. Excellent performance by Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Definitely something to watch.
You see where the roots of Scientology began and how.

Season 2 starts tonight. I don't have cable so I won't be able to watch it. From what I have read it deals with their horrible treatment of children. If you are watching, I hope you post. I'd really like to hear about it.

'Leah Remini: Scientology': Former members say parishioners ignored sexual abuse

It was a very sad episode, Photobabe.

Two former church members spoke to Leah and Mike on the abuse they suffered at the hands of church leaders.

Very very sad. And disgusting how the church blamed them. THEY WERE SMALL LITTLE GIRLS. But the church blamed them.

I also found it tragic how children are viewed as mini adults and basically there is not parental relationships as kids are "dropped" off to these camps to do manual labor. Children, alone without the people who should be looking out for the best interests. And LRH's writings about a child being kissed! The guy was sick.
