AI5: Are the Idols up to the challenge of Queen?

Queen week holds nearly as much dread for me personally as Stevie Wonder week did, simply because I can't imagine any of the contestants truly doing justice to the songs.

No one from the current batch of contenders can hold a candle to Freddie Mercury in his prime. No one. The best they can hope for is to sing on key and try to look animated. I predict Simon will have a field day cutting them all down to size.

I might just watch it with the sound off and a drink in my hand It might not be as bad that way

It will be appallingly bad and Simon will have a field day. My mute button and I wouldn't miss it!

I think this is probably an excellent idea!
I don't usually watch AI, so why do I feel compelled to watch tonight, when they will be (most likely) butchering one of my all time favorite bands, from way back in the early 70's? There were a few of us who were so Queen-crazy we even got the high school chorus teacher to listen to "A Night at the Opera" hoping to be allowed to sing "Bohemian Rhapsody". No such luck, but she did let the "advanced" group do it.

I the poll choices! Kudos to whomever chose them. Let's just say I didn't pick something promising! At least we'll get to see Brain May. . . .
