American Idol - will season 2 be as popular?

Can that magic be recaptured for season two?

I think the established fan base will come back, even if it's to rip into Simon, Paul, and Randy. New fans will come to check what the hoopla is all about. However, if AI2 doesn't produce some good singers this second round, the show will start to lose viewers,imo.
