    Re: Preacher (AMC)

Finally was able to watch the pilot uninterrupted.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this show so far.

This is just what I THOUGHT (I don't read spoiler sites, or fact based sites) in regards to the entity going into the preacher. The other preachers exploded, but he didn't. IMO, it's because he isn't a TRUE believer in God, but wants to help others and help himself from his dark past. So, the "true" preachers exploded, but the entity found a "host" body to inhabit.

Now, and again only my OPINION, so this is no spoiler...just rambling thought. The guy who went to see his mother, "Be brave, tell the truth and open your heart".. IMO, that was the entity doing it's bidding...all without the preacher knowing that he's possessed.
The evil can work out of him with impunity. Well, til these "hunters" catch up..or whatever.

Anywho. I'm excited to see the next episode. Love it.

    Re: Preacher (AMC)

I just watched the second episode. I love how completely bizarre and darkly funny this show is. The characters are great. They are doing a fantastic job developing the story and keeping me interested in what happens next. There are SO MANY questions to be answered!! The ending point of the episode was fantastic. I am dying to know whether his action will have the results he wanted, or if it will be a "be careful what you wish for" outcome...

Yes yes yes!! I really am chomping at the bit with this one.. the characters, the questions, etc. I'm riveted.

ClosetRTWatcher, random question.. what was in the road that made the preacher stop (when Tulip tased him)? I watched it twice and couldn't make it out.

The bus that he kept noticing going by... omg, fantastic!!! I felt the rage boiling.

    Loving this show.

It was a car seat. Since he had been following the bus, I had this feeling of dread about what was going to be in the car seat when he finally looked in it from the right direction. I can't recall now if we actually saw that it was empty right as he got tased, or if it was never shown...

This show is crazy. I look forward to seeing what's on the church sign out front every episode.

    And I love Cassidy!

Yess! We love that sign, too - we've said it makes us think "Fawlty Towers Extra-Dark".

I thought it was an interesting development that the "hunters" are heavenly-clones. And it looks like they have recruited Cassidy. I wonder if it is meaningful that they didn't call themselves "angels"? They very specifically said they were "from heaven". And I wonder if they may turn on Cassidy once he is no longer useful?

    I also love the sign!
