    Code Black (CBS)

I did not see a thread for this show, even though it's already aired SEVEN episodes. That's probably not a good thing!

I've been watching and I do enjoy the characters. As medical shows go, this one tends to be a little more intense, but then .... that's the premise. I am enjoying Marcia Gay Harden's appearance and I am Raza Jaffrey (Dr Neal Hudson) is easy on the eyes.

The drama comes as much from the patients situations as it does from the fact that the "doctors" are still learning.

    Anyone else watching?

Re: Code Black - premiered September 30th on CBS

I've been watching. It's not my favorite show but apparently I like it enough to stay up and watch it every week.

I don't really watch medical dramas. I like medical shows based on real situations, like Mystery Diagnosis, Sudden Impact, and Untold Stories of the ER, but I never have gotten into Grey's Anatomy, House, Chicago Hope, ER, Scrubs, that whole genre.

I guess to me the medical issues are interesting enough without the troubles and lovelife of the medical staff thrown into the mix.

I wasn't sure, but this show has grown on us.

I'm still watching too. I like that we are getting to know all the doctors and there backgrounds now.

I'm also watching. As long as they don't go too soapy with the doctors' lives, I'll be there.

The title drives me nuts. It doesn't mean what they say it does. Code Black is reserved for bomb threats, infant abductions, threats to someone in the hospital. .etc. I can't get past the misuse of the term long enough to want to watch
I hate when the cops throw me in the back of the squad car ....like they didnt hear me call shotgun.

I found this about it. It says it can mean an ER emergency. I actually like the show, but it's a not a must see one for me.

Re: Code Black - premiered September 30th on CBS

This show got better as the season progressed, imo. The end of the season was very exciting.

The new season premiered last night. I was sad that Christa(Blonde first year who lost a son to leukemia) and Neal (Indian doctor) are not returning and no mention of them that I caught.

I really liked Neal. That's a tough loss, imo. Very unfortunate.

I was surprised at how much I liked Rob Lowe, since, I rarely like him in anything. I thought the hairstyle was an improvement from how he normally looks. lol At first I didn't recognize him.

I did take issue with the behavior of the little girl who was attacked by the shark. Her outrageous, rude and angry behavior to her sister, after she was almost eaten by a shark seemed misplaced to me. No matter how much you crush on an older guy, that seemed warped.

Also, I didn't see why Mama had to take the first year resident to do cleaning really dirty jobs, just because he asked if they had a lounge. I mean, it's a healthy thing to take a break when you're doing serious and demanding work. I know that doctors might downplay it, but it is important. I'd rather a rested, well fed doctor who's had enough sleep work on me, thank you. It just hearkened to the days of hazing when you treat someone like crap, just because you can. I didn't appreciate it and I normally like Mama.

I think Code Black is a good show. I record it for watching on the weekend, and if we dont get to it, that's okay , well just watch 2/3 in a row
