    The Seventies

A few months back CNN had a multi part show called The Sixties which covered all aspects of the decade. It was really well done. Well tonight they begin a look back at the Seventies. Looking forward to it!

Sounds great to me. The seventies included most of my childhood and of teen years. I think it was the greatest, but I guess everyone feels that way about when they were growing up.

    Re: The Seventies

I just saw the 60s episode on tv in the 1960s. Beforehand, I wasn't all that enthusiastic about watching it, but when you guys said how good it was, I thought I would watch it, and I'm so glad I did cause it really WAS well done. And I had to laugh because some of the clips were very familiar to me and I actually remembered them, but others blew my mind in how YOUNG everyone looked, and how DATED everything was --- OF COURSE this is because I'm looking at it in retrospect from 50 years later -- but still, I kept shaking my head in surprise at everything! It was also so sad to see the clips of the hard news (politics, wars, scandals, etc. etc. etc.), and the fact that for a lot of those issues --- things haven't gotten better, they've gotten worse!
