    Summer 2015

Most of the Spring shows are done with one or two still airing (iZombie and Messengers) and folks are catching up on their DVR'ed shows like I am doing and getting ready for the Summer Shows. I just got next week's TV Guide and they have tons of stuff listed for the Summer, Yeah! The way it is arranged is some shows start in June, some in July and some in August.

There is an animated 1/2 hour show on Fox this Sunday called Golan the Insatiable supposed to be very good at 9:30pm.

NBC's The Island has already aired an episode but it is only 6 episodes long and airs Monday night right after American Ninja.

ABC's The Whispers starts this Monday.

Lifetime is airing Unreal also this Monday.

ABC Family is starting Stitchers Tuesday night.

Syfy's Lost Girl has it's finale Thursday and Bitten had it's finale Friday leaving room for Dominion and Defiance.

HGTV's Brother vs Brother start this Wednesday, I think.

    Re: Summer 2015

Well I know I won't be watching Extant and The Strain I wasted one summer last year on those shows and that was enough. I can also live without Running Wild with Bear Grylls although I am watching The Island. While The Last Ship was OK I can live without it.

I will be trying The Whispers, Stitchers, Proof, Complications, Killjoys (just because I found out that the folks who produced Lost Girl are doing this one) and maybe Zoo.

Must see for me are Falling Skies and Teen Wolf.

I just want some quality shows to balance a self improvement project where I am doing some more walking outside a little less late night eating and tackle some home improvement projects and connect a bit more with friends and family and really enjoy summer this year without spending too much.

Falling Skies!!!!! My favorite!!! This is the final season and I hope it is awesome. I cannot wait for this show to start.

I want to get back into The Last Ship too.

And finally, Under the Dome - trainwreck or not, I can't help it. I'm invested and will watch it play out to the end.....

    Re: Summer 2015

Saw HGTV's Brother vs Brother, I was planning on not watching this summer but they changed the format and it's Drew vs Jonathan with various HGTV stars as the judges. I like this format better than the team one.

HGTV is also doing Beach Flip starting July 5, I will be checking that one out.

I saw ABC Family's Stitchers and liked it. The heroine was kinda interesting seemed more like a Vulcan than human (Star Trek reference). I know the critics didn't particularly care for it but it's summer and what I saw was better than FX's The Strain and CBS's Extant.

Still liking The Island and there are only 4 more episodes to go.

Have The Whispers on the DVR anyone see it yet?

I also have a couple of series to finish (on DVR) in the next two weeks before the summer shows start in earnest.

    Re: Summer 2015

I'm still in for Under the Dome. Yeah, the thrill is kind of gone. It happened when people started popping in & out of the Dome. Plus those pink light things just haven't amounted to anything of interest. But it's Summer, I'm desperate, and I'm not completely sick of it yet.

Extant, on the other hand, I'm not wasting another minute on. I watched every episode last season hoping I would eventually care, but I didn't. The only character I found at all interesting was Ethan, the robot boy. I felt I had wasted hours upon hours of my Summer. I won't do that again.

I've seen the promos for Whispers, but they just don't have my interest. Maybe if it wasn't about small children I'd watch, but for some reason when the victims of whatever's going on are small children, I just can't bear to watch. I like creepy, but not with little children.

    Re: Summer 2015

Whispers is more science fiction than fantasy. I, too, thought it would prey on children and it does because they are the ones who can hear them. A sub plot has people investigating a weird tree like obelisk in the African desert with an air force plane stuck in it. The pilot (missing husband of the investigating FBI agent) is back in town but doesn't know who he is or how he got there. But, he does know things are happening.

The children have been psyched into thinking they are playing a game when they set up traps for the adults in their lives. So, far, the adults have been close to those investigating the object or otherwise working for the government.

Its as if something wants world domination, and does so by getting the children to kill off their parents.

But, so far the parents have been tied to science or the government. In other words, the ones that could hurt the aliens.
