    Galavant

Last night was the first episode of Galavant. According to Wikipedia, it's an American fairy tale-themed musical comedy television series. It follows the adventures of Galavant, a dashing hero who is determined to reclaim his reputation and his "Happily Ever After" by going after the evil King Richard, who ruined it the moment he stole the love of Galavant's life, Madalena. The episodes chronicle Galavant's journeys (and the twists and turns that go along with them) through musical numbers composed and written by Menken and Slater.

I watched it since the Celebrity Apprentice didn't start until after it was on.

One thing I pray to God they discontinue is having most of the commercials during the show based on the Galavant theme song. I didn't care for the song in the first place and it got even more annoying each time I heard it. They had ads for Resurrection, Revenge, and tons of other ABC shows with the same tune but reworded to match the show. Enough, already, ABC! We get it!!!

One more Galavant-related commercial and I'm going to run somebody through.

    Re: Galavant

I use commercial time to go to the bathroom, fix a shack, get something to drink, or straighten up a little. I remember when there were only six minutes allowed for commercials in an hour show. In those days I watched then. Now my time is spent doing other things.

Another think I can stand is having a crawl along the bottom of the screen advertising other shows and spoiling the continuity of the one that's airing.

I forgot Galavant was on but it'll air again on Saturday and I'll watch it then.

Caught the first 5 or 10 minutes looks interesting. I have it on my DVR but am still catching up on some other shows.

    .
You can fix a shack during a commercial? What kind of repairs are you doing?

I liked it. It was fun and silly. Will see how it goes.

After 3 minutes I was clawing for the remote. Couldn't change the channel fast enough.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

I really enjoyed it. Laugh out loud stuff at times. Record it and ff through commercials.

Gee, there was a time when I could type and rarely have a typo. I don't know if it's me or my keyboard that's getting old.

Didn't quite warm up to it (and really disliked the intervening commercials), but it's only 4 episodes so I may stick with it.
