    Constantine - NBC

Constantine (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Constantine is an American television series airing on NBC, based on the characters appearing in the comic series Hellblazer published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint.[2] The series stars actor Matt Ryan as John Constantine.[3][4] The pilot episode was directed by Neil Marshall and written by Daniel Cerone and David Goyer.[5] It premiered on October 24, 2014.[5][6] The pilot of the series received mixed to positive reviews from television critics.[7]
I really liked the first 10 or 15 minutes where they showed John at Ravenscar Psychiatric Facility and thought wow, great new show and then I went to go post stuff on line and came back to watch the rest of episode 1 and wasn't impressed that much.

It's going to take me awhile to transition from the movie with Keanu Reeves, which I love, but I'll get there. His English/Australian? accent is a bit difficult at times.

It seems that if you have an accent you can swear on a American TV show if he didn't I don't know if they would have let him say "bollocks" so much.

Well episode 2 was better then episode 1. It held interest through out the episode and touched on a myth about miners I had not heard before.

And, he reluctantly acquired a new team mate. That brings the scooby gang to three. I guess they had to add the woman because in the movie the female police officer was key.

This is going to be a definite 13 episode season one. The ratings have been quite good and NBC is moving Constantine from its 10pm slot to 8pm to start off before Grimm. The mid season finale was episode 8 and when the show comes back on January 16 there will 5 more episodes and the season finale on February 13.

While I was exited to see this series I was not overwhelmed by the premiere and in fact have been underwhelmed with the series so far. It just seems to be a poor version of the X files or Nightstalker. Grimm and Supernatural do it much, much better. I had only watched to first 3 episodes and they just were OK, John Constantine is a bastard and there really is nothing there for me to be that interested in. I am using the mid winter break to catch up on unwatched episodes and mid season finales of various shows that I have been watching. I figured I would finish watching this series before moving on the series I haven't watched at all but had recorded. Some episodes were better than others and the mystery of who Zed is is piquing my interest. I must admit I enjoyed episode 8 - THE SAINT OF LAST RESORTS - part 1 and want to see part 2 and will probably record the remaining 5 episodes.

My favorite part is the frantic music. Once the first season moves to Netflix streaming, I can watch with CC. My tv's cc is hit and miss and I need it with this show and his accent.
