I still record with a good old fashioned VCR. Yes, they are still available & dirt cheap.
I would recommend buying one & using it, but it's not as easy as it used to be. If you have a new TV, one of the HD ones, you can't just hook up to it. They don't acknowledge the fact that people still have VCR's.
You have to have one of those HD converter boxes & hook up to it & then hook the converter up to the TV through an adapter. Basically you're getting your recorded show in analog rather than HD.
It works, but it's a bit of a pain in the neck to connect. Plus if you have a power outage, even a brief one, the adapter & VCR have to be unplugged & reset.

It's amazing the hoops a cheapskate will jump through to prove a point.

If you have an older TV, no problem, just connect the VCR up & go.

I haven't watched yet but DVR'd it. Glad to read that for the most part you guys liked it. Another board I'm on ohhhhhh they hated it something fierce! LOL!

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.

I'll gig the 2nd episode a try after reading how much y'all liked it. The pilot did not grab me at all...I fell asleep.

I use a VCR, too, in fact have two, but can't figure out how to really use it with the new HD big screen one that my Sig. Other bought---my mistake not to go along! At best I can tape only what I'm watching (that's due to the new cable box now that cable is the only way to get TV), and that only if the TV is actually ON. Arrgh.
But back to Intel.---to me it was just OK, the main plus being JH, but willing to give it a chance when it isn't a crowded premiere.

I liked it, but can't give up The Blacklist or Castle for it.

Maybe it was the crowding in of too much information, but I found it rather stiff or stodgy. In the beginning when he set himself up to be caught, I couldn't figure out why until much later when Marg said he uploaded a virus into their system. Also why was the traitor not caught (they know who he is) at the same time as the Chinese Intel guy? He is sitting with other thug types outside the curtains when the girl "wakes" up.

It's on my record series and I'll keep it going, but I wasn't overly excited by it.

I watched about 10 minutes and switched channels.

I agree, but all three are available my Cox On Demand so I'll get to watch all of them albeit not live.

It's like they've cobbled together bits from other shows - Josh is Chuck without the levity, his partner is Nikita (one-time criminal now working for the government), the missing foreign wife who may or may not be evil brings to mind the mother from Alias etc. So I'm not too sure. First episodes are pretty much world set-up stories anyways, so I'll have to give it a couple of episodes to see if it's going to stand on its own merits. I do like the two leads so it has that going for it.
