I believe episode 2 is airing here on Wednesday.

One of the things, besides writing and acting, that I like about British tv is that the characters can look like real people. They need not all be young and gorgeous. I find that to be true in the comedies, dramas, sci fi, and mysteries, There is variety in age, weight, degree of beauty or handsomeness, and talented actors can find work all their lives.

Pretty sure I'm going to cave and end up watching the entire series online before next week

Fanny Mare, do you get tv.com? Episode one is airing in full there at no charge.
