    Re: Under The Dome

I'm not that enthralled with this season. I really dislike the Science teacher and the new teen girl can't act. I actually laughed when she stuck her hand out the window, screamed and proclaimed that it burned. The only one that was believable for me was Junior and this show is the kids first acting gig....lol

    I agree.....it's weird nobody remembers a girl from 1988.
I hate when the cops throw me in the back of the squad car ....like they didnít hear me call shotgun.

I've always kind of "gotten" that it's not unusual for your brain not easily accepting you seeing something that "shouldn't be", based on what you've lived through. Some people do it easily, and some people's brains just cannot accept it until somebody else fully delineates it for them.

I watched all of last season albeit I became a bit disenchanted with the show by the last episode. I decided to give it another try but....I'm done. This show has become like so many others of this type....ridiculous.

I like the teacher. Get rid of the Bible-thumping weirdo Lyle already.

But take what I say with a grain of salt. I have to admit that I haven't been watching with full attention this season. The writing sucks. TIIC would've done better to have stuck more closely to the book and limited it to one good, tightly written miniseries. (Like "Maximum Bob" several years ago...anyone remember thst? With Beau Bridges?)

I give it one more episode before it's off my DVR.

    Re: Under The Dome

    ^ Ellen - LOL!!!!

Seriously, I am starting to question Julia more and more. Sheesh - at least give Barbie the chance to explain or ask him yourself.

Sam's bad news. When he finds out Lyle knew his sister was alive all this time, he is going to really go off the rails. I felt bad for Junior and couldn't see what was in the journal that Lyle didn't want him to see. It looked like a picture of the journal itself.

I don't think the new girl has a thing for Joe...
Do you still think this after watching her grab his hand and hold it to go off exploring the house.

I think my favorite scene was the one with Barbie and Norrie.

Oh - and I got my question answered about how no one in the small town remembers her - her family had only been in Chester's Mill a year and then they left when she went missing. But yet she's from the same town as Barbie? How old is he supposed to be? 30? 35? If he's 35, 26 years ago he would have only been 9. How could Melanie have recognized him? These math problems give me a headache.

    Re: Under The Dome

Maybe Melanie babysat for the 9 year old Barbie...but then you'd think he might remember her... well, maybe not at age 9 if it wasn't that frequent.

OK so now we know that Sam killed the girl? He has scratches on his shoulder after we were told several times that the killer would be scratched, and they are n't just random ones, looked like he'd been attacked by a cougar.

At the beginning this week the voiceover said, TWO weeks ago the Dome came down... Nice to have a timeline. And in 2 more weeks, according to science teacher, they start to run out of food. Maybe they could start rationing now instead of later?

    Re: Under The Dome

Let's see. If the Dome came down 2 weeks ago, that was a whole year in TV time. That means they have another whole year TV time before the food begins to run out. That's next Summer. No problem at this point.

    Re: Under The Dome

Wow, this show is going downhill fast.

I don't give the slightest darn who Melanie Cross is, or why Sam has chosen to live as a recluse and only recently reappeared.

Why do all the religious people on the show end up being fanatics??

As someone else said, if the dome only came down two weeks ago, why is Chester's mill out of food already???

And why are people STILL driving around instead of walking?!! I mentioned that earlier on. Wouldn't gas be much more scarce than food? If they're about out of food, they should have been out of gas a week ago.

Now Julia and Barbie seem to have broken up so there goes one of the last few things I enjoyed about the show.

About 99.9 percent of the things the characters on the show do make no sense.

If they're so low on food, why in heaven is the diner still open????

And don't you think Rebecca should have at least asked Big Jim about distributing the flu virus in the eggs before innoculating them? Now that's even less viable food left for the starving townspeople. They ought to take all those eggs she injected, make a big omelette, and force-feed it to Rebecca for coming up with that crazy plan to thin the herd.

I also don't give a darn about Melanie Cross, or what she's doing there. I had hopes for teacher lady (is that Rebecca?), but she's turned out to be a pain. Not even a good villain. I like the omelette idea.
